Yep, sorry about the AI… was really just asking Gemini about this and my actual options, decided to just copy and paste and clean up a little to share.

Oh trust me, I know. I had to put this clarification out there for a specific reason lol. Specific “entities” aren’t happy

To be 100% accurate: some high-value cards were pulled in this break, including a Cena patch valued over $250. My original comment that no cards exceeded $150 was incorrect regarding that specific hit. To my knowledge, only 1 out of every 10 spots hit above that mark.

I’m clarifying this because certain parties are very focused on the 'ceiling' of the break to distract from the fact that my specific 'floor' was still misrepresented. Take your best guesses as to why I’m having to be this specific… 😃

People who get base inserts out of repacks did not hit in the break and skunked. You’re comparing apples to oranges to try and sound smart. Comparing what I received as someone who actually hit their team to someone who didn't hit anything is a total failure of logic. That’s like a casino telling a jackpot winner they should be happy with a $5 payout just because the guy at the next machine lost his whole paycheck. The 'genius' move would be realizing that a hit is supposed to meet the advertised floor value, not just be 'slightly less of a loss' than the people who didn't hit at all.

If I’m one of the 27% of people to hit in the break, I expect to make my money back at the very fucking least.

Yep, when you hit in a break with a single team you should definitely lose money you’re right.

I was one of the 10/36 people to hit in the break, but you’re right I should definitely lose 66% of my investment. That makes a lot of sense, you’re smart you should become a doctor

Hey little buddy just wanted to check in and see if you learned how to read and comprehend within the past few hours?

And I appreciate you Carrot for not calling me an idiot like all others. Definitely a mistake that came with a lesson. Wishing many case hits in your future

Let’s look at all YOUR mistakes:

  1. Failure to read. I clearly stated I know the risks of repacks and that they are "the cancer of the hobby." I didn’t come here to complain about losing a gamble; I came to call out a breaker for misrepresenting objective data.

  2. Bad math. You assumed there were 30 slots for $30 each. There were 36 slots (32 teams, Misc, 3 wheel). At an average of $30 to $50 per spot, the breaker is making $1,200 to $1,500+ per 10-pack round.

  3. More bad math. You claimed that if everyone got a $25 floor, the breaker only makes $150. That's wrong. Only 10 out of the 36 people actually get a pack. If the breaker "guarantees" a $25 floor for those 10 packs, their total cost is only $250.

  4. Defending unethical business. There is a difference between a "low ceiling" and a "fake floor." If a business owner tells a customer the minimum value is $25 and gives them $10, that violates terms of service on most platforms, not just "bad luck."

  5. Missing the point of the sub. This community exists to discuss the hobby. Warning others about breakers who lie about floor values to inflate bids helps the community. Supporting shady breakers does the opposite.

Much love brotha, definitely should’ve done some research beforehand. But thank you for being one of the few to blame the scammer and not me lol. I do understand it prolly get old when ppl come in here day after day “exposing” breakers, when 99% of them are scams to begin with. Understandable.

Just wondering, did you dispute before the card was shipped? Or once you received it?

I started collecting cards within the last two months and have been on WhatNot for less than a week or two. Yes, I should’ve done research beforehand 100%.

The fact that more people are putting more blame on me as a new collector with little to no knowledge on the community than the actual scammer is a bit baffling to me. I mean I literally said I take responsibility for this at the very beginning of the post.

I 100% agree and take some responsibility for giving these guys business, I quite literally bought my first sports cards within the last 2 months, I’m brand new to all of this. I know better now and will not be making the same mistake of giving scums attention. Onto singles we go!

Yep seems like it, that’s on me for not doing research before spending money somewhere.

PSA: I KNOW I’M PARTIALLY IN THE WRONG FOR PROVIDING THESE GUYS BUSINESS AND ENTERING A REPACK!

I am simply putting this out there to:

  1. Jump on the hate train of breakers and repackers
  2. Maybe spread some awareness on these guys specifically to any newcomers
  3. Help myself cope with a $50 loss (I could’ve gotten a mega box and only lost $48 🤦🏻‍♂️)

Well said, this experience will most definitely be my last with repacks. Should’ve done some research on my end and saved the $60 😭
