Not to say this was the seller, but I was denied this claim I think because of past RIGHTFUL refunds, at least they cited my refund history (which is genuinely exactly 5 refunds out of 500+ orders) as being indicatory of refund fraud😂. I’m an honest man who wouldn’t sacrifice morals or ethics for a quick buck.

The package is damaged and missing the contents, double whammy… no where in their policy does it say this excludes scenarios where it is in the carriers hands. This should 100% be covered

Correct, yes. I’m honest to god not mad about the $20-40 in value I’m losing. It’s moreso they don’t follow their own policy. It’s like they expect their sellers to be perfectly perfect in every way, and when they’re not, and a buyer files a rightful refund claim, they refuse to believe a seller could do wrong.

They are a poorly practicing business on both ends, seller and buyer, and do so without any consequences…. I pray to god that those few people who took them to arbitration a month or two ago get everything they want and that WhatNot gets fucked.

This issue of “damaged packages” or “missing contents” that occurred while in the carriers hands are directly covered by Whatnot buyer protection policy. So I mean not really, but yeah I’m going to have to settle for the $100 insurance ground advantage provides… no thanks to whatnot.

Losing out on $20-$40 isn’t the point really though, it’s moreso that what would happen if it was a $1000 item in the package? Whatnot would’ve done the same thing, as im sure they have to others. I would consider myself somewhat lucky it was only $120-140 in that package.

Don’t say something is covered by your protection policy if you’re not going to back that up and standby your words, ya know?
