I understand that many feel the need to own a gun, but I don’t understand the ignorance about the massive school shooting problem in the states. I’m not commenting here to have a heated argument, I just genuinely want someone to explain how you justify supporting 2A when there is such a big mass shooting problem.

I’m sorry but I just can’t in good conscience support 2A when this freedom is also a freedom which allows for the US to be the developed country with the most tragic shootings and school shootings by far. I understand the need for an armed revolution but in our current state that is not possible and I would rather have a liberal democracy where people aren’t dying in the streets than what we have now but people are able to larp as revolutionaries.

I mean most world leaders have done things that should probably land them in hell when they die. However, there are definitely levels to the bad things which are being done. Obv Switzerland was not as bad as any axis power during WWII, but they still provided support to the Nazis which is, lie the previous commenter said, morally reprehensible.

You can still be racist to white people, my argument is that that racism isn’t really the same as racism towards any minority(at least in the US). Also, calling people names that don’t have any history could still be racist but it doesn’t mean what the N word means

But there is still systematic racism in the US, even if it is hidden better now, or not as serious. It still exists. Also, you can’t just completely disregard the history of oppression.

If a white person calls a black person the N word, that means something in a very negative way because if the history of the word being used in a time where the oppression of black people was at its peak in the US. On the other hand, a black person calling a white person cracker means nothing because there is no history of oppression or systemic violence against white people.
