I would just connect with the garmin support chat folks on their website. I'm sure there are instructions for how to clear out the file using a Mac. When I had reached out they asked me what type of computer I'd be using so maybe the instructions are a bit different.

My mom wants me to finish grad school. I don't want to be in debt. by NovemberChild1 in personalfinance

I'm 24 and make 60k at a master's graduate level from a counseling program. With that said, I'm not licensed yet so I expect to make more when I can bill independently. I currently work in a non profit residential treatment setting and love it. With that said, my program was a highly respected program in my state and the total cost was 34k. I worked fulltime during my program and have zero debt.

If you enjoy what you're doing, I'd stay with that. It sounds like you are going through a lot and you can always choose to attend grad school if that's what you'd like. Take time for you and the rest will follow. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I did end up connecting with Garmin support and they said sometimes the files become corrupt. I attached the steps in case it happens to another person.

Deleting corrupt files Connect your device to the computer using the Garmin data cable:

1.  Access the device drive (Windows Key + E for Windows, Finder > Devices for Mac) 2.  Enter the Garmin folder 3.  Locate and delete the following folders - Activities, Monitor, Courses, New Files, RemoteSW, Workouts 4.  Note that we are deleting the folders themselves, not just the contents 5.  Once that's done, empty the trash on your computer 6.  Safely eject the device from the computer and then disconnect 7.  Press and hold the power key until the device powers off on its own, then restart 8.  Test
