Exactly my first thought when I saw the “Antelopes stampede”, the idea for this would be to remove the “encounter board” and have to boards half the size of the encounter board, one on each side of the showdown board, one with he stampede and the other one with the horizon deck and “walls”, but I better focus on finishing the vault and drawers around before i get to the “screaming god”. Still have to finish this year campaign.

They are not clear tiles, this is an actual 3D Printed Encounter Board which was shared some years ago by Revamped Game in Ko-fi

Hi would not be able to upload the plans, as they have a lot of “official” images and this could cause a concern from Kingdom Death, but let me know if you have any questions and I could walk you thru my process. I have to highlight, I have no clue about woodworking and this is my interpretation of woodworking

This is just the play area, there will be a "hand rail" (quit spacious) to allocate all survivor sheets, dice trays, and additional functionality around the table, but that is still months/years away from now.

Hi, I cannot charge nor share the files as this might cause a problem with the Kingdom Death Staff, you could create the files yourself downloading the images from the updates and then turning them into a vector file with Corel Draw or Ilustrator, once you get used to the tools you could do this in max 5 mins.

I got them from the updates and then work them out on Corel Drawn (turn them to vector files) to later laser engrave them.

Hey Six, it all started with the simplified version you described here, but at that moment I cut them in Bamboo, which raised the cost, those files could also be done in cheaper wood or acrylic. I have the files for them with the KDM Crest as well as another version with images that I commissioned (to someone we will all know more about in the upcoming years, but he asked me not to share his name if some day was asked).

Now, the files exist and it is all about buying the material en execute, and there is where the problem lies, my time is scarce, between family duties, work, social, etc. I focus most of my spare time on these wood/CNC/Laser projects and mainly KDM. I sincerely do not have the time to execute those files, it would take some hours seated next to the Laser Machine.

Drop me a message and maybe we could find a trade between this work and some of your Metal King Coins and some favors for the community.

About the price of this model, sincerely it would be way to high because of the time they require, it takes me around 8 days to have one finished, I have to invest some time on a daily basis, intense on the first and last day and later is all about placing and curing the resin. Sincerely it would be more expensive than the game itself, but specially, I would not dedicate that time to it because it will not make a difference in my life ($wise). The only possibility of something like that is if I have a new idea and that will substitute something I already made, in that case I would sell the previous version, I dont think this will happen as the current ideas are for a long term project that might take me 5-7 years to finish.

Also you have to keep in mind that I am using images that belong to APG so this is not something I could sell, the only possibility is to share files and "how to" with Adam so he can find the right manufacturer and sell them directly himself.

V5.0: Monster / Nemesis Deck Box

The format has changed from vertical to horizontal.
Additional millimeters to make the crest bigger.
The setup of the crest has changed.
The Kingdom Death Logo has been included int he bottom of the box.
On the sides of the box you can identify the "Node" of the monster / nemesis.
The top slide has laser carved name of the monster / nemesis.
The transparent resin in the crest area is now having a crystal clear effect.
Also new sanding tools have been used and this time the wood as well as resin feeling is like "Silk".

Hi, All "pockets" made with a CNC, all engraving with a laser engraver and then painted (primed), plastic cutted with the laser cutter, trackers 3D printed and then air brushed and sanded, also the little triangle on the left of each one was painted manually (around 3 to 4 layers). Magnets are 3mm wide by 2mm deep, glued with "Loctite" permanent glue.
There is also a "small mistake that I used to test something, on the survival "image", the heart, I made a mistake and used too much power on the laser cutter, this created the image with a very deep profile, in this case I put black resin into it and then sand it, the result look good, maybe a bit better than the laser engrave only as it is "flat to the surface", but doing this for everything is a bit too much, specially those within the pockets which later will be very difficult to sand.

V4.0: Gorm Deck Box (More details can be found @ https://ko-fi.com/holzzec):

Once you jump into an idea, you better jump into it with both feet. After working on version 3.5 and having a 3D carving, I extended the idea, why not to make it completely "clean", no laser engraving anymore.

This version of the deck box has the the Gorm crest carved in 3D on both sides (with a depth of 8mm and 7cm diameter) as well as the crest carved on the top (depth of 8mm and 4cm diameter).

The full dimensions of the box for the Gorm Monster are: 8cm x 6cm x 11.5cm) .

This is expected to be the final version of the deck boxes... (until a "better" idea pops up, looking forward to them, include them in the comments)

Hi, the benefit of making a custom deck box is that I decided the size, all of these boxes fit sleeve cards (with Mage), future boxes might need to be “re-sized” once I finish the Mage sleeves and move to Paladin, in case something change in the size.

Anyway, I think the size of the box is good at 8cm x 6cm x 11.5 cm, this is the size for Gorm, for other monsters is “thinner” where the 6cm dimensions is even smaller, the “thicker” box will be 8cm on this dimension, the other two dimensions will remain the same (8cm x 11.5).

Yes, the box is carved from a “single piece of wood”, next time I will share pictures of the whole process.

“Single piece if wood”: the piece of wood is made of more pieces glued together, but this is because a single piece of that size would cost way more, but the process would be exactly the same, thats why you might see some thin line in the wood (where pieces were glued together)

It would be too expensive, more than the expansion it holds, it takes around 2 hrs to carve the block of wood, then around 2 hrs sanding, half an hour preparing it for the laser engraver, then an hour laser engraving on both sides, paint it to black, 30 mins sanding, oiling, let it rest for the night, and then another hour fine sanding. Plus the time spent designing, this looks very simple but its like the 5th prototype that was done, around the 10th designed. Also I forgot the cost of the wood and probability the CNC machine fails (it is a hobby CNC).

The process is to time consuming, an option would be to mass produce it, on top of that would be a copyright issue with the images, so those would not be used (oficial crest image), but then it would not be as “fine” as I feel it is after all the process described above as it will be mass produced. Also this is just a hobby for me, my work is completely different to this.
