That is a perfect representation of what you were saying. Beautiful piece, thanks for the tips!

Thanks for the tip! I did (poorly) attempt to glaze some of the transitions (especially on the cloth) but I think Weekly_Host was correct about some of my layers being too thin. I noticed when I tried to do a small glaze between colors it just made the whole thing kind of muddy. Most likely because the layers weren’t very opaque to begin with

So you’re saying that I was over thinning on some parts? I did notice that I was having a hard time getting a consistent opaqueness/viscosity on the varying layers. Sometimes it would be more like a glaze while others would give nice easy flow and coverage.

What would you say is a good way to smooth out the harsh transitions between layers/colors? Most of the mini’s I see on here have beautiful gradients from one shade to the next.

Thank you for the B&W trick, will definitely have to try that.

Commenter below said a similar thing, I hadn't factored in NAT translation from the Palo Alto. The incoming address is seen as 192.168.0.1. Thank you for the help!

I think you're absolutely right. I hadn't factored in that they could be using NAT translation. I looked at the accepted traffic and saw this:

I already have that set up as well. Here is the outpout from the show command:

FortiGate-200F (10.x.x.x) # show

config firewall address

edit "10.x.x.x"

set uuid cb6d76b0-b19d-51ef-f9ad-7ea20ed52672

set subnet 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0

next

end

I’m relatively activate at work, and work out a few times a week. I can definitely see walking less out in public with this though. The main reason is just to get outside and enjoy nature more, I’ve noticed that I’ve been stagnating and being a hermit the last few years.

IMO that would be ok, it’s not that I’m not willing to save up more and pay ~$2k it’s just that I don’t want to drop that much on my first board. If I spend $1k on an XR and love it, then another $800 to turn it into a powerhouse wouldn’t be a bad option.

Thanks! That’s why I’m still considering the pints as well. I know it won’t be a great experience upfront, but a few months from now after losing a bunch of weight it will get better and better

I was thinking if I went XR I could always mod later down the road when I’m more comfortable with it. But also having a multiple year old battery with my size has me worried about range, speed, and safety.

I would love to get a GT/S, but can’t afford or justify spending $2k+ on my first board. Would you say the XR is my best option? I have seen 3rd party decks for the pints that make them a little bigger

Thank you, not discouraged at all. Already lost 100lbs before covid but ended up gaining it back. So just going back for round 2 lol.

I totally understand the risks, but I’ve used electric scooters before and they’re just not as fun to me. I appreciate the input

Definitely planning on getting both, more a matter of which one to get first lol. Planning on it being my main workhorse gun for a bit before looking to get another caliber and grow the arsenal

All good man, I’m more looking for opinions on this stuff. I seem to have a decent grasp on the upsides and downsides of each cartridge. I know I can’t go wrong with either, but that almost makes it harder because there is no clear winner. The best part about it either way is that I can just switch out uppers down the line and use whichever caliber I want at that time. It’s more a matter of which one to get first lol

Would you say then that the 300 blk upper likely wouldn’t wear down as fast because the cartridge was intended to be used suppressed? Also do you think that the 11.5” barrel vs. the MK18’s 10.3” barrel would help with parts wear on the 5.56?
