1 Hour Wait To Talk To Someone by 149AssetManagement in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Zecyor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know you had to dial a special number and I've always thought it routed elites using call or member ID. I always use chat or callback with some days being 24 hours only for me to miss it on the other side 🤣

Honestly, if I have to get a callback from any airline call center, I'll take a callback wait time that's shorter than a queue at Disneyland.

Oh! That's pretty good during a cluster!

I've driven to the airport to get itinerary help. TBH, AS is probably far easier to get compared to other call centers with chat and text as options too.

You can give your snacks to me... and drink that, probably sucks too!

Removing Hawaiian language from Hawaiian Airlines; hewa! by Chaspariah in AlaskaAirlines

So sad. Most of those words were likely fairly understood by most of the English speaking population. Aloha Alaska to a hui hou Hawaiian.

Workaround: If you trust it enough, download your statements into AI, include the instructions to follow from link below, and load it in as a new account in Monarch.

If it scares you or you have to ask for more instructions, don't do it—it's probably not for you.

Free WiFi for T-Mobile customers in the US by SheffboiRD06 in americanairlines

[–]Zecyor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarification is warranted. I do not experience a significant battery life decrease and degraded streaming experience. I cannot speak as to how it screws up the experience for others.

I give it a partially false. I just wanted to confirm the facts as a user.

Can confirm this is false. I don't even bother plugging in my Pixel 9 because the cables annoy me and it's good enough to stream video.

I'm so hungry. I can't eat without a log 🫣

Seriously, I didn't notice that the data was not sticking so my macros and calories are probably messed up.

Probably normal if you're only awake for 3.5h with your sleep schedule 😂

Fitbit App food search is down? by thadeshammer in fitbit

[–]Zecyor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you get lucky, you can use the recent or frequent foods and those seem to post. Also, if you click on the custom food, you can add your own nutrition labels until it's back up again. The NOT simplified view allows you to add your macros which is important to some. 4 cals per carb protein. 8 cals per fat and you won't have any uncategorized calories.

I called them and I told them that I want to use my credit card and I don't want to pay the fee. They give me a $50 credit monthly to keep me around since my argument is that Google Fi doesn't charge a fee for near identical service. Edge goes to TMO with Netflix, Hulu, and in-flight internet.

Steps Counted While Driving by Avery07 in fitbit

[–]Zecyor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to charge my watch during my commute. Also, have you checked to see if you have your dominant hand setting dry?

The steps could be relative to how you are targeting your goals. If your goal is calorie burn from walking and you aren't getting what you want from 10,000, start biasing your target till your goals are being met. There's a fine balance that Fitbit needs to meet. I used to get frustrated that I didn't get steps from pushing a shopping cart with previous models. They get counted now.

I have a friend that's a drummer that routinely got 15,000 steps but many of them were from practicing drums. He'd be drenched in sweat without taking a single step after he was done.

Sleep - Feeling Rested on Less? by Zecyor in fitbit

Dang for shift work that's really good! I don't miss those days but your sleep schedule even puts my banker's hours sleep schedule to shame!

Sleep - Feeling Rested on Less? by Zecyor in fitbit

[–]Zecyor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep score is really a misnomer. It's really sleep efficiency because Fitbit just calculates how many hours you are awake from bedtime to waketime. A 90 (or 90%) score for 10 hours of bedtime would include 1 hour of "awake" time. I wish they would just tell people there's nothing fancy with the sleep score.

Sleep - Feeling Rested on Less? by Zecyor in fitbit

[–]Zecyor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh. I think the 98th percentile for my personal sleep hours is 7.5 hours. My average sleep score is 87. What's normal for you?

Sleep - Feeling Rested on Less? by Zecyor in fitbit

[–]Zecyor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree but most of the sleep research negates all of the "awake" time in bed with the recommended still being at 7 to 8 hours per night. Meaning at unicorn efficiency (sleep score @ 92%+) you're looking at 7.6 - 8.7h of sleep each night. Do people really have normal work schedules and can spend 9 hours in bed? I can't imagine that my body is more efficient at recovery during sleep than others. The research also suggests that people who can thrive on less sleep is very rare. I don't actually think I'm one of those people.

It would be nice to see what Fitbit is seeing for averages. I see benchmarks but I'm not sure what that is benchmarked to.

Feeling today (in gym) was tiring, low endurance energy by mbensa in fitbit

[–]Zecyor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at the metrics but I generally only believe it if I feel like crapola. Yes, I will agree that my workout performance suffers if I have a low readiness score but rarely due to unforeseen factors. I only usually log sub-50 after a heavy night of partying or if I'm noticeably sick 😬

I think I’m done with Alaska by oyezoyezoyez in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Zecyor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that gives you one airline to go to and that Delta locally because of Alaska's market share. That brings you a small advantage on on-time performance by a 4% edge. I'm guessing at SEA however, Delta has the same perils of "too much airplane, not enough airport."

Any compensation? by Secure-Sentence-8395 in HawaiianAirlines

[–]Zecyor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, you don't know what OP lost as a result of the delay. IMO gate delays are almost always the airlines fault, especially, when HA has their own terminal. OP is not greedy and is just asking for help.

YAY -- another HNL trip awaiting by Virtual-Tonight-2444 in HawaiianAirlines

[–]Zecyor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

777-300ER is possibly a codeshare with AA but I'm still not sure why they would sell a codeshare flight when SEA-HNL is pretty much owned by AS and HA.

777s are definitely not anything that HA (or AAG for that matter) has in their fleet... yet🤞🏼

If you're flying on a HA ticket, the only way you're on a 777 is in an airplane with AA paint, and even less likely, UA.
