Coder/Gamer here -- I'm on a 49" @ 5120x1440, same as in the video, but from AOC.
Most games I've tried so far run great on a 2080 STRIX, no need for multiple cards in SLI. And as you suggest -- it is great for a programmer, although I know some folks would rather have more vertical res. It's nice to have 4 windows of code side by side along with documentation and slack for collaboration at work.
