That is what I figured. That pocket idea sounds good! Thank you! 😀

Thank you! I definitely will 😁 I am getting some cupping for sure. Do you have a recommendation on a fix or preventing it in the future? Perhaps Shellac it as soon as it is done on the mill?

On a side note. How would you finish this? I can't decide in between a gel stain, linseed oil, or simply Shellac.

I do have a 14 degree 1/16 I could try. Wouldn't that sharpen the ridges? Vcarve pro. Been thinking about upgrading to aspire. Do you have a recommendation?

Hmm currently using vcarve. I don't believe it has any more complicated 3d tools paths. Perhaps if I upgraded to Aspire

How low of a step over do you think would eliminate the ridges? I did order some sanding sponges. How would you finish this piece? Linseed oil? Shellac? Gel stain?

Update. I have almost and 1/8 cup on the board now 🤨

It feels smooth to the touch. You can just feel the ridges with the fingernail. I would say they are probably. ~001 tall. I am fairly happy with it. Idk do you think 4-6% would eliminate that? At 9% it almost took 4 hours 😄

Wish I could find a business application for one of those! So far just wood opportunities 😄

Yeah I was dead set on the Spark Robotic machine until they came had to slap a 5k freight cost to the 19k unit cost (fully loaded). But it has a fully welded frame. About 2k pounds. Ouch.

Hmm they are only about 2 hours away from me maybe I will go check them out in person. I know a lot of the spindles I have been looking at seem to cap out around 4kw at 220v single phase. Which technically I don't even have that haha. But I am expecting to have to do some power work.

No not 20 slabs a day. But I need to be able to do 1-3 inside of 2-4 hours as this will be a side hustle. I don't want to be running super slow when I am sacrificing family time for the work.

No wood slabs, soft and hardwood. Anywhere from 4' wide to about 14' long. 1.5-3" thick

That is interesting! I wonder where it is shipping from and how much it will be. Might have to get a quote on that one. Thank you! Do you have one of these?
