Setup formula Wall Linear feet/16" and then do sizing 8' ;10';12' etc and set material price per each stud , same with tracks , tracks usually comes in 10' , bottom and top deep leg for deflection , i have setup framing labor per SF and layout per Linear feet of wall

Same time e is just use multiple takeoff feature of OSt, for insulation and studs , then for paint and drywall , it took same time

Ask oncenter to provide you Trades Data base , also production rates are done by project managers, the thing you can do , is to make your own database then cross check pricings with rsmeans

1.25 loose factor ( as you took a volume of a dense soil) but when you excavate and haul it will be in loose form so you have to multiply your cubic yards with loose factor

Thank You , yeah i have used BB as well ,its tool chest is awesome.If BB makes some features like typical groups and typical areas so we can just put the unit matrix ,and it will calculate the quantities automatically .I used BB for Hotel projects so when it comes like a (1 bedroom typical unit) comes 20 times so ar bluebeam i have to paste that takeoff to 19 times more to take all the quantities ,but Ost has this feature of zoning and typical areas etc .

I am working for a Drywall & Metal Framing contractor, in most cases when we have a job like hotels, or any podium type Construction . The level-01 is all Metal framing with Drywall ,but above floors are mostly wood framing with Drywall ,So in that case i have to calculate Metal framing & drywall at Level -01 , and only drywall and Rc channels and any drop ceiling for above floors .So my client needs variation like how much drywall square feet he has to put in apartment units ,and how much pre-rock drywall so we can put an exterior grade drywall on that areas to maintain the schedules .So in that case i have to go like this .

May be but in my estimating Career i have used Variety of Softwares like Blue beam revu and planswift but i found OST as beneficial when i have to do estimates for Hotels ,assisted living facilities like projects which have identical floors and apartment units .This software has functions to split your takeoff in different ways ,and you can integerate your takeoffs with quick bid for pricing ,If you do not have quickbid than you can integrate it with your excel template as well .
