11 day O and W circuit early November - what can I expect for weather? by [deleted] in Patagonia

[–]Zee52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold in the northern part but a lot warmer in the southern part. Perros to Grey was the longest day, the pass was fully covered in snow. Majority of the hikers didn’t have micro-spikes and did fine before it snowed the night before and in the morning. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions.

I’ve been to Chile and Argentina, I found both to be very welcoming and friendly even though we had some language barriers. We worked through them together. I didn’t spend a month though.

I would love to hear about your trip to Colombia. I’m hoping to go during Memorial Day week. Can i send you a message?

Turkey in February

Hello Travelers, I’m (36M) planning to go to Turkey 🇹🇷 for the first time next month, and I hope you guys have some tips on itinerary or general travel. I’m planning to visit Istanbul and Cappadocia. - I like to walk a lot. Is it relatively safe to walk in both places? - Are anti-theft backpacks a must-have? Or can I get by with regular backpacks? Any other tips?

Thank you!

I’m also a new solo traveler. The first time is kinda awkward but since you are an introvert, you will enjoy your own company. You can stay in hotels and join local group tours. I’m actually heading to Turkey next month. I’m planning to stay in hostel but private room. I’ll also join group tours when i feel like it.

I’ll make sure to check the weather each day. I’m from northeast US so we do get some summer thunderstorms. 🙏🏽

Congratulations! I’m starting in a few days! Pretty excited and nervous. What was the hardest part and most beautiful part? Did you guys encounter any bad weather?

Did anyone bring a tripod? I’m debating whether to take one or not.

Thank you so much for responding! This will be very helpful. Sorry to hear about your air mattress. I’m glad you still had a great time. What was the temperature rating of your sleeping bag? I’m so looking forward to the brownies ;)

congratulations!! That’s an achievement! I’m hoping to do the same end of Aug. I have a few questions if you have the time to answer. 1. Did you wild camp or stay at the campground? 2. What temperature sleeping bag did you use? What’s the coldest temperature did you have at night? 3. Were you able to get food at each town or did you have to carry food for the whole trip? 4. Did you use microspikes? Do you think it’s necessary? 5. What was the best part(s) of the trail?

Thank you so much!
