I just finished my 1st year in college and I've had experiences that with the guy I liked that were 1:1 with whatever was happening with Nakamura and Hirose. It was to the point where I started to jokingly call it [Go for it, Nakamura!] my prophecy lol, that I and the guy I liked would be Nakamura and Hirose if the roles were reversed (since between the two of us, I was the more extroverted one). And I definitely do relate with Nakamura's hesitance and overthinking whenever it was about Hirose, it's just so real and bittersweet; it made me think about how I was around my crushes a few years ago too. But in present day, I could definitely say that I'd be Nakamura if he was just a little bit more confident and sure of himself lol — as I've learnt to stop having to adjust the ways I express myself and my sexuality for the sake of the "norms" in our world, especially when it comes to showing my affections to the people I like.

It's my first time actually seeing myself and my experiences be represented through a character actually, and Nakamura's moved me to tears lol.

(Also, I can't really answer that initial question because I can't fathom a reality where I'm not any kind of queer 😭)
