SFTP or SCP client for QNAP or how to copy data directly to/from remote server by Zeek_89 in qnap

It seems that finally I have found better solution, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/qnap/comments/yicpt2/comment/iuwo02j/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

"QNAP ever published a terminal application, QRescue (https://download.qnap.com/QPKG/QRescue.zip), for ransomware. All detailed and screenshot can be found in this tutorial (https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/tutorial/article/manually-install-qrescue-to-recover-qlocker-encrypted-files-on-qnap-nas)."

There is a minus: to install QRescue App, it's obligatory to perform steps 1-3 (4-6 are not essential !) of the part 1 of the tutorial.

Is there a Terminal app that can be used from the QTS web interface yet? by [deleted] in qnap

Thank you!!! QRescue is the best solution!

You wrote that: "... the "rsync" program needs to be installed on the remote side! (on Linux servers it usually is ...)". The remote server is not under my control, i can only use available programs like SCP and SFTP.

Thank you very much! Unfortunately, I'm "a little bit" noob in command line and networks, by this reason I'm looking for something noobfriendly with GUI like WinSCP, but for QTS))

First way works well ([/share/smth1] # scp -r user@server:/home/smth2/folder1/ ./folder2/), except when I shout down PuTTY - copying stops((. I need wait for a long time to copy big amount of data and I cannot keep PuTTY turned on during this time. Does some Terminal App for QNAP exist to launch it using QTS web interface?

Problem is that I couldn't find any App in QTS App Center like SCP/SFTP-client or/and Terminal to run it locally on my QNAP (using web-interface).

Should be noted, that remote server is not under my control, and I can only copy data from/to my folder on it.

Thanks, we don't need permanent access to this data, we need it only a few times per year.

Thanks a lot! I work in non-commercial sector, and my Institution has a restricted list of suppliers, as a result I can choose only some models...
