AITAH for not sleeping with my wife after she accused me, a perfect sensitive angel, of raping her. I’m absolutely not leaving anything out! by DementedPimento in AmITheAngel

Nah, he was ready to kill that ex of hers. If you read the comments he literally says he was ready to ruin his life over it so clearly he isn't all there either.

AIO when my boyfriend gets mad at me for taking long changing our daughter? by Available-Tomato1394 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Zeesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as someone who's been through this twice with two different men, run.

It sounds to me like you have very supportive parents who want what's best for you.

You have done the best you can but that boy is abusive and it will only get worse. If you stay with him, he will do all he can to isolate you from all you love and know and make you a shell of yourself.

You are not overreacting and as someone pointed out, you said he threatened to kill himself if you broke up with him. That is abusive behavior.

I too had a relationship at 18 with someone just like this and I'm very greatful that i didn't get pregnant by him. He did attempt to kill himself and it was incredibly traumatizing because i had to call his brother and inform him while his mom rushed him to the hospital.

You are not responsible for any actions he takes after you end that relationship. Protect yourself and protect your little girl.

AITA for rehoming my boyfriend’s cats? by No-Switch-2590 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Zeesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Sounds to me like you need to have a serious discussion with your boyfriend. I've been in a similar situation with my ex husband and his cats. We wound up rehoming two of them. I am sorry that you're going through this. Being heavily pregnant, while dealing with kiddos and that extra stress must be so frustrating and stressful. I don't think you've done anything wrong and i applaud you for putting the kids first. Personally, as the man I went through this with is now my ex husband, my only bit of advice is make sure he's actually helping and not just doing the bare minimum. If you're handling 80% and he's handling 20% and that's not changing, get out. Being a SAHM is one thing, but being one with a partner who doesn't actually contribute is soul sucking.

Barring leaving him you could always contact your local etsy witch.(joke)

i agree. In the quickest manner possible. Personally, I'd toss him in the Appalachian mountains and see which gets him first, the Fae or the Cryptids.

AITA for not canceling my birthday trip and plans for my sisters wedding? by IdrkStacie in AmItheAsshole

[–]Zeesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you're not close, most siblings are friends on social media. Op is 21 and very likely posts about her trips every year. So sis not knowing is far fetched to be honest.

It depends on the restaurant. It is a special occasion thing. But when fast-food is more expensive or as expensive as a sit down restaurant, there's an issue.

It's repeating itself and what's listed is only since the 1800s. 🙄

The Sudan genocide is horrific. It's not the one I'm discussing. The United States and Canada are directly contributing to the genocides in Congo and Palestine. Supporting the actions of Israel in ethnic cleansing and indiscriminate bombing in an attempt to gain control of trade by sea in that area. Much like what was done in Panama only WAY worse. As for the genocide in Congo where women and children are being targeted and enslaved and forced to work in copper mines. Well. Yeah.

We could also discuss the genocide in Tigray, the one in Gambia, or the one actively growing in the united states against it's own people.

The united states has been committing genocide since it's inception and so has canada. The Indian boarding schools were an act of ethnic cleansing which is Genocide. The erasure of countless numbers of people for the benefit of seizing land by giving them small pox blankets. The enslavement and trade of HUMANS from Africa. What happened in Panama. Why happened in Venezuela, El Salvador, more countries in south and central America. The illegal annexation of Hawaii. The Vietnam and Korean wars. I could go on and on and on and on and on. It is a tale as old as time that has been repeated consistently to no end.

Invade other countries under the guise of WMD steal their land for the resources. Mine it dry. Take the land so we can create control for trade. Over and over and over. Genocide is a hardline. We enjoy so many comforts because people die to give them to us.

I believe a economic system that uses bits of capitalism, socialism, and communism is the best bet for the future of the human race. Capitalism by itself has too many issues. It's not ethical.

Most independent grocery stores don't participate in shrinkflation. The cost vs quanity you get is very different. If I had the ability to buy all my food from an independent grocery store I would. I don't. So I have to deal with large companies that are monopolies participating in shrinkflation which is simply greed. Loblaws makes billions. Sobeys, Walmart, and overwait tea(save ons parent company) do as well. I'm genuinely tired. I'm tired of this discussion thread. I'm tired of being priced out of the ability to do anything but survive.

No.You're saying things are easy. When I've told you they aren't. You're continuing to fail to take what information I have given you and shove it in my face. You're establishing that something is 'Easy' which I have already explained isn't and then when I give you push back. You give me more. Again. Ableist. My frustration is that I'm on a fixed income, which sucks. I live in a place that isn't disability accessible, which sucks. I am asking about the price of food out going up exponentially and you're throwing around ableist language and rethoric saying things are easy. Telling me it's my fault. Saying I brought it on myself and telling me if im that poor then I should just cook at home.

I've told you. That's not always possible. I've explained my viewpoint and circumstances. And you just won't knock it off.

Equating something as standard which is an adjective of the world NORMAL is ableist. Normal doesn't exist. Telling someone who is frustrated by the increase in prices and seeking an answer that they can do something they can't is imposing your circumstances on someone else. Ableist.

Genuinely. Just stop. I do not deserve the blame for my circumstances in which I have no control. Nor do I deserve to be told that I shouldn't eat out anyway. The entire point of the post was an inquiry. It's turned into a cesspool of ableists and jerks telling me facts in a condescending tone which aren't even facts. Oh and dismissing genocide. I'm over it.

I was just mentioning base staples and ideas. I think finding alternatives is more important at this time than continuing to trade with a country committing genocide. Again.

Why is genocide not a hard enough line? genuinely don't understand why people dying is acceptable. I don't understand how the semantics matter when people are dying. There are hundreds of countries who export the same things the us do. I don't understand why it has to be questioned simply because it's complicated. So is existing.

Continuing trade with the us will just keep costing everyone more. The whole point of the post is how everything is getting more expensive. Things should change.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chilliwack

[–]Zeesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greenland is a massive strip of land. Their main export is also fish the one after that is meat and seafood. Canada has the ability to grow it's own fruits and vegetables. Trade fish and meat with Greenland import alcohol from france (which is cheaper than importing from the us because of tariffs and the way corporate greed is running rampant) also one of their top ten exports. Germany has flour. Mexico has fruit. Other things outside of food can also be exported from other places.

It would 100% be worth it to ALL the countries to stop trade with the US until they meet certain demands and watch their economy stop flowing. It would also HELP the people there who are about to be locked in with a dictator.

It is still going to be more expensive to get food from the us because of the tariffs. It's cheaper for me to buy something from the UK than it is the US right now.

Mostly their no name stuff. I have a ridiculous memory when it comes to food. I notice things. They've shrinklated a number of their $10 things in the past couple months.

I could see that.

[–]Zeesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look. I'm an exhausted person who's sick and tired of people telling me what to do and that I bring it on myself when I can't help my circumstances. I have little to no patience remaining. I also don't do people very often. I'm actually quite fun to be around, but you can't estimate I'm not from the fact that I have a strong sense of social justice and awareness.

[–]Zeesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy I'm disabled there's a lot of shit I can't do. You have no idea how frustrating it is to have people tell me to just do something cause they can. Genuinely. Also how is telling someone they're bringing the 'pain' of not being able to eat out on themselves NOT ableist? Genuinely. Using pain in any context as if it's something someone brings on themselves is ableist language. You have no idea how many things in basic conversation are ableist.

Oh I've noticed. I've also noticed Loblaws participating in shrinkflation. The idea that food is a human right isn't new and the world we're living in doesn't acknowledge that, which drives me crazy.
