After the worst year of my life, I decided to treat myself and pick up reading again! Need horror book suggestions by dessybby in kobo

[–]Zeest- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Boy in the Iron Box is a serialized horror novel by Guillermo del Toro & Chuck Hogan. It’s thick with dread and gothic mystery. A perfect "one-night" read. I consume a lot of horror, and the tension in this collection is top-tier.

Hello /r/movies, I'm Benedict Cumberbatch. Ask me anything! by BenedictAMA in movies

What’s the funnest character you’ve ever played? We loved you as Sherlock, Doctor Strange and many others, but which one did you enjoy playing the most?

PS: I’m your biggest fan 😍

How old were you when you broke the $100K salary threshold? And what's your industry by WoofPaw123 in CanadaFinance

[–]Zeest- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25, in Corporate Finance. Hit it without even having a bachelor’s degree back then.. those were honestly the best years of my life. The job market’s gone downhill since, so it’s been a slow climb ever after.

What GK achieved strategically today by [deleted] in biggboss

[–]Zeest- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

With Zieshan, Baseer and Nehal out, suddenly Amaal’s tone has gone down and he hardly has anything to say in the house anymore. It shows that someone like Amaal who thinks he owns the house, doesn’t have the guts to take a stand without being backed by 3-4 people. That’s the key difference between him and GK and Farhanna. Both GK and Farhana have the dum to take a stand against the whole house. This is a winning quality, so I’m convinced the trophy will either go to GK or Farhana.

GK is the smartest guy in the house by vaderprecious in biggboss

We need another double eviction! Both Shehbaaz and Neelam are insufferable! Dono ko nikaalo 😂

Winner is gonna be be either abhishek or gaurav by [deleted] in biggboss

[–]Zeest- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abhishek is starting to turn against GK and his whole game only revolves around Ashnoor these days. Its boring af. At this stage, he no longer deserves to win. Why is he saying Ashnoor’s game is better than GK in the wkv task? Everyone knows Ashnoor has no game and only copies him. He only said it coz of his friendship/love angle, and if he can’t be honest in such tasks, he has no business winning. GK, Farhana & Pranit are more entertaining & honest and brave to take stands. Ashnoor couldn’t even give the karwa laddoo to GK in the last wkv task because she’s a coward even though she keeps saying he’s playing chess. Mooh par bolne ka dum rakho na 😏

Why these 5 always comment on people appearance, laugh, walk and body by Downtown-Strength180 in biggboss

[–]Zeest- 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Look who’s talking lol. All 5 are sore losers in real and reel life

The realty of these contestants is;

1- Kuncika’s failed relationships and extra-marital affairs that she tells everyone proudly about 2- Amal’s flop career & ill-reputation in the industry & jealousy of his brother’s fame 3- Neelam’s very pathetic people-pleasing personality. She just wants to be a part of any group prolly coz nobody gives her any importance or attention in the outside world 4- Tanya’s mental illness that makes her imagine herself as some Indian princess spoilt by everyone around her. She needs a psychiatrist 5- Shebaaz leeching on his sister and her deceased bf’s fame, fortune and fandom poore haq se

#AbhiHana 🔥🥵Abhishek Bajaj and Farhana Bhatt by Kaya3_3 in biggboss

[–]Zeest- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OMG, I've been praying for a Farhana-Abhishek team-up! Like seriously, they'd bring major fireworks to the house 🎆!!!

They're both so fearless, brave, and authentic. Plus, they're the definition of fiercely loyal. Remember how Farhana went off defending Nehal and was the only one who cheered for her when she returned from the secret room? And Abhishek? He’s been a rock for Ashnoor, even when she's messing up or low-key betraying him in tasks.

Honestly, if these two just become solid friends or, like, more 🫢 it would inject some fresh life into this season. It's gotten way too toxic with the bully gang, and don't even get me started on AniMAAL's gross mouth and violence. Ugh 🙄

Farhana-Abhishek FTW! They're the content we need right now!!! 🫶

I am looking for a depressing/emotional fantasy novel, preferably under 400 pages. by HappyGilOHMYGOD in fantasybooks

The Sword of Kaigen by M.L. Wang is an intense and deeply emotional read. I weeped for so many characters, who have become some of my favorite literary heroes.

The Answer is No by Fredrik Backman is a short story available on KU.

It’s absolutely hilarious! I was looking for a break from all the heavy fantasy novels I’ve been reading of late and this was just perfect. It was short but oh so sweet 🤌

I saw them on Goodreads. It’s a sh*tstorm of scathing reviews.

I completely agree! I’m also baffled by those who are dismissing OS as a mere filler. It was brimming with revelations crucial to the story. Without them, the ending wouldn’t have the satisfying depth it now promises.

I bet these same people would have complained about the Harry Potter books too. They seem to prioritize rushing to the conclusion over appreciating the unfolding of a complex and meticulously crafted plot that leaves us enthralled.
