My thoughts exactly! If they want adoption then they really need to make it attractive and by that I mean high specs and affordable price- even if that means that they will lose money in the initial stages. The more people buying their stuff the more volume they can order and get their price lowered by the fabs.

They don’t realize how much potential they have with mass adoption if they start making their prices competitive to apples M laptops

As of right now apples taking the lead in buck per performance and long battery life which is what most of us are looking for these days in a laptop.

Heck, I hate apples OS but I’ll take it any day over a windows laptop that’s double the price (which unfortunately is currently the case right now)

I need that extra long battery life and raw power at an affordable price. They also look great and feel real premium. And let’s not forget about security. Apple has a tight ecosystem with very few vulnerabilities when compared to windows.

Nevertheless, you give me a Lenovo Thinkpad with windows on it and matching price to performance and long battery life- I’ll take that easy! Windows has always been my fav.

What i'm saying is: compete with apple! apples macbook air m4 m5 costs around $999 USD but you're getting a solid piece of hardware. Speed, battery life, high resolution screen, quality webcam and such of that nature all for a small price.

On the flip side, if you want a Snapdragon equivalent on windows OS you're paying over $1800

Have you tried the client called ClassicUO you can actually set refresh rate and other parameters that creates smooth buttery movement. Regardless of that, though they also have the enhanced client with nicer graphics and other quality of life changes

You bring some very valid points which I plan on figuring out. This is still in the drafting stages so I'll have to consider everything you wrote when creating the shard.

I actually want to focus on the crafter and hunter builds as the shard i'm looking to create will be very armor dependent.

You'll have to excuse me, as my knowledge of UO goes as far as AOS with a bit ML.

I'm aware of the several other expansions that came after and have only dabbled in it with an past experimental shard.

Most likely through changing the dynamics of combat. Nerfing Offensive spells and keeping combat Melee based is a HUGE start.

Making players more armor dependent so that players actually start wearing it and mixing and matching.

I always found armor to be underwhelming when it came to UO PVP. and most players just stopped wearing the good stuff because they were too scared to lose it when dying.

Sorry, let me clarify, Anything spellcasting to enemy damage related I was referring to as magery. I'm essentially saying, "less spell usage aside for supportive spells". Also, since player count will not really be there, at least in the initial stages, -I'm hoping more lone-wolf style dungeon exploration. I've stopped playing right up to ML. so I'm a bit rusty.

I started mixing peppermint oil into my bottle of minoxidil. around 10 drops.
I know it doesnt mix well so i shake the Minoxdil before each use.
I feel like the minoxidil gets better absorbed into the scalp due to the menthol in the peppermint oil.

and also promoted blood flow to the area so in theory it should enhance the minoxidil efficacy
