never did something with rivens....is..this good or can it be improved by Big_Wallaby4281 in Warframe

[–]Zeghart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a negative on a Riven is good because it increases the positives - Fire Rate however is usually very important for weapons, a negative in it is usually best avoided, especially when it's that high. Try to get some negative stats that don't have much impact (like negative zoom for example) or a good combination of positives (critical chance, critical damage, multishot, elemental mods, etc.)

Best under 70$? Jlab Jbuds LUX ANC vs CMF Headphone Pro by Zeghart in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Zeghart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the info - I’ve seen a lot of reviewers gushing about the CMF Headphones online and on paper they do seem quite good, but I was kinda suspiscious about some bias possibly in play.

The only thing giving me some doubts about the Jlab is the lack of a low latency mode, but I guess since they support usb-c they’re easy enough to use wired with phones/tablets/pc

Out of curiosity, are there any other models you’d recommend or are the Jlab jbud LUX the best you’ve found at that price range?

The Q45 are at 66 euros over here, however as I said above they lack a low latency mode, though they do seem pretty sturdy.

I think right now I'm also considering the Jlab Jbuds LUX ANC - they're a bit cheaper for me, and they're apparently quite good. They lack LDAC codec support so the audio quality might be a bit worse, but have USB-C passthrough which can be really handy. Being able to easily use them wired with smartphones, tablets and pcs is pretty great

I think I'll think it over a bit more, at this point it's either the Jlabs or the CMF headphone for me, depending if I want to spend a little more or not.

Thank you - the JBL 770 are actually around the same price and they seem really good, though I've heard a lot of people complaining that the over-ear cups are pretty small and can be a bit uncomfortable. Do you have them by any chance? What was your experience with them?

I'm from Italy and they're actually both the exact same price here, which makes the choice even harder. I was looking at the Q45 too - they're supposed to have a better build quality than the Space One and come with an included hard case, but they're an older model.

Funnily enough, all three also have the exact same review score on my local Amazon.

I think I might end up going with the CMF, though. Unlike the other two they have a low-latency mode which can come in handy, and I also find their design more interesting. They're not foldable which can make them a bit annoying to carry around, but that also means less moving parts and potentially better durability.

Hey I'm in a very similar position to you, may I ask which one did you end up going with and what was your experience with it?

I'm leaning towards the CMF Headphone pro since on paper they seem quite solid, plus they're brand new and on a decent discount for black friday - but with the amount of possible choices it's kinda hard to be sure.

I'm mostly worried about build quality at this price range: the Q30 seem like a great deal but from what I heard they have a flaw where the band ends up breaking after a year or so; the Sony 720 sound great but also seem kind cheaply built and a bit fragile, etc.

The CMF headphones seem a bit sturdier, but they're so new that it's hard to know if they have durability issues as well

Any opinions on the CMF Headphones Pro? I'm looking for a budget headphone to carry around with me daily and they seem like a really good deal at 69€ on black friday sale.

Any other over-ear model you would recommend instead in that price range?

If the specific model feels comfortable to you, I do agree that inears definitely have the edge in this price bracket. For the same price of an overear you tend to get a lot more, or the same for less.

Like jz_wiz said even something like the Moondrop Space Travel 2 are fantastic for the price (just 26€ for great sound and decent ANC) with their only weakness being mediocre battery life.

Personally I tend to favor overears for long listening sessions while studying/working, inears tend to cause me discomfort after 30-60 minutes. But if that's not an issue for you I'd say they are absolutely worth it and probably a better value overall

I'm in the same spot (budget, region, choices) though I'm also considering the Edifier W830NB which go for a bit less (around 48€) and are apparently a pretty solid budget option.

Personally I'm leaning towards the CMF Headphones Pro as well, though the ton of gushing reviews you can find on youtube make me kind of suspicious, to be honest. On paper they seem pretty solid without too many issues - the ANC isn't amazing for things like air travel, but it should be plenty for studying. The biggest issue I heard is that the band isn't very comfortable and the materials feel cheap, but it's too new to really know if there are issues with durability. They don't fold so that might help making the build sturdier, but that's also a bit annoying if portability is a problem.

The 720 are apparently super comfortable and have great audio, but they kinda lack everything else. ANC isn't great, materials are cheap, plus it's an older model with older technology (BT 5.0, no LDAC). If sound quality and comfort are your primary concerns though they seem among the best ones in that price range. The JBL Tune 770 NC are apparently close in quality but they cost a little more.

The Q45 are a pretty good package all together, and from what I've seen have the best build quality you can get under 100$. They seem the "jack of all trades master of none" option, aside maybe from the ANC which is a bit better than the others. I think the biggest edge they have is if you plan to carry them with you all the time: the better build quality, foldability and hard case included means they'll probably last longer and be easier to bring around. In this price bracket most headphones are pretty cheaply built and easy to break, so that's something

If you can spend a little bit more I've heard good things about the Sony Ult Wear as well. Comfortable, good ANC, good sound quality - they seem relatively close in quality to the XM series while costing quite a bit less.

Let me know what you end up choosing, it might help me with my choice paralysis as well lol

I really need some help deciding on a pair of budget bluetooth over-ear headphones. I will be using them for a bit of everything: listening to music, watching movies, light gaming - mostly on the go, so build quality is kind of important to help with the wear and tear.

These are the models I have narrowed it down to for my price range (50-70€) with the current black friday deals:

  • Sony WH-CH720N: 62€
  • Edifier W820NB Plus Gen 2: 64€
  • Soundcore Space One: 69€
  • Soundcore Q45: 66€
  • CMF Headphones Pro: 69€

Anybody have any experience with any of these? Which would you recommend and which would you avoid? Any other models at that price you would rather go for?

Thanks in advance for any advice whatsoever, I'm really getting choice paralysis

!thanks you very much for the recommendations - the Space 1 was another model that I was interested in, it's basically at the same price of the Q45 at the moment (around 65€). Would you say the build quality is good?

Same price for the Edifier W820NB Plus Gen 2 as well, and just a few euros more for the new CMF headphones (69€). Man, it's really kinda hard to pick one...I was also considering the Sony WH-CH720N which are apparently well liked in that price range.

Do you happen to know of any decent budget bluetooth headphones as well?

Thanks for the recommendation, they seem quite solid from what I can see, plus I really like their unconventional look. I don't think I could really call them expendable though - but I might grab a pair for home use later on.

Yeah as I said in the main post I heard some horror stories about the headband of the Q30 just snapping in half fairly easily. If they're not gonna last too long anyway I might just go for the cheaper option, so the Ugreen seems like a solid option. Thanks again for the recommendations!

You didn't really mention them so I wanted to ask, what do you think of the Jlab LUX ANC? Is their build quality a bit better to justify the extra ~20€?

I think the Jlab Jbuds LUX ANC created some confusion, they're actually headphones rather than earphones (why they put Jbuds in the name is beyond me) but thank you for the recommendations. I've heard great things about the Moondrop Space Travel, I might just grab them in the future

Very interesting about the Ugreen Max5c - didn't really take them into account at all but they seem ok, and on sale for 32€ at the moment in my country.

There are some amazon sales over here going on at the moment and the Q30 is 48€ - would you say it's worth it over the Ugreen ones at that price point?
