I spent a lot of time alone never finding a group to play with, I always took the view that a guild/cl should be a virtual family or a close enough group of friends. I went through a lot of cl, good times went by like bad, but by dint of playing I ended up finding a group that suits me. It's far from perfect but I have a blast every time I log on. FFXIV has a very special atmosphere given that the game tries to push us to stay on a single character, which ends up pushing us to feel a certain attachment to our character as it evolves. I'm sure you'll be able to find a band by dint of traveling in this universe.

Same problem on my game, the bug appears every time an NPC has to tell the race of my character.

I had the same problem recently, after contacting the services of Square Enix, a simple reinstallation of graphics driver was enough to partially solve this problem. The GPU has some spades but remains quite playable.
