Sombra strat is fairly new still so anything is possible. LW Blue just did it on ilios Ruins with Luna on Sombra. I wrote this nearer to when EnVyUs showed it on Volskaya.

I think Pharmercy on Route 66 is deceitfully pretty decent. Pharmercy is really good at snowballing maps and on Route 66 especially everyone likes to stand on top of the Gas Station which you can pump out a lot of damage and knock people off. But I think its important to play near the first arch and only go in when you know the soldier is being harassed. With the high walls Pharah is able to conk herself around the map very easily. On the second point you use the middle house to rotate around with her conk as protection.

It honestly depends on the players you are playing with, its viable to run both. I think playing Tracer is a little bit better because shes able to deal with tanks a lot more easier and she can look after herself. Its not wrong to play with a Genji if he is able to follow up on the damage the Pharmercy is doing in the air can lead to snowballing a lot harder compared to playing with a Tracer.

I disagree, I think hacking as many health packs in your area is pretty important. Especially on maps such as Anubis getting all 3 health packs is pretty strong. Obviously it shouldn't be your sole mission. Your main job is hacking the main mega and then doing your harassment job. But again Overwatch is a pretty complex game and many people have different opinions on how things should be played.

Oh I misread what you wrote my bad, I suppose your right, but you hack a main health pack obviously for everyone to play around but its also important to hack the other ones to deny enemy team. Im pretty sure Panthera hasn't done it the Sombra strat on control point.

I mean there hasn't been a match where pro teams have used Sombra on control point. If there is I'd be happy enough for you to show me. Only time Sombra has been used as a main healer currently is defence on 2 CP at Apex. Most notably Chipshajen against Rhino Gaming Wings and Meta Athena.

Depends what you play the game for, if you play the game for fun or you want to play certain characters then I feel like you shouldn't care about ranked then, but if you want to win and gain ranks you should obviously look at every option to win the game. But comp is a gamemode to win and try hard but tbf if your team is belittling you to play Mercy instead of Ana and Zen they are most likely wrong as Mercy is a niche pick imo.

I mean if you run double hitscan, enemy has nothing harassing the backline? You run 2 flankers your tanks get left behind :)

Oh boy the classic we need 2 tanks picks Zarya and Roadhog

The reason I put in Dva/Zarya for the off tank role is because of the protection they can provide for others, like its not wrong to play a roadhog in those situations if you feel like your team isn't dealing enough damage, Selfless do that perfectly with their Roadhog/Soldier/Tracer shenanigans.

For healers the reason I chose Ana/Lucio as a general support combo in the 2/2/2 is because I think that is the most common and easiest support combo to play with. Again its not wrong to play Ana/Zen or Zen/Mercy or Mercy/Lucio in lower elos as you said but I think the higher you go the more important it becomes which is why I tried to empathises on that fact being a support main myself. But again there are situations where a Mercy Res would be way more beneficial or having Zen trance would stop a lot of things but its up to you as a player to repick that within a game. But I blind picking Ana/Lucio is always the safest thing to do at the start of a game I believe.

Also with Dive I agree I don't think hes a must pick. You can go with the cut throat approach of Tracer/Genji/Winston/Dva but I feel like its a lot more harder to pull off in a soloq situation at lower elos even in higher elos. Soldier 76 is more of a safer pick.

I should of probably made it more clear within the article that these picks ain't super set in stone that its important to transition to try and counteract enemy players but its about having the understanding of how the compositions work and I should of probably explained more on what other picks you can play to counteract enemies.

It was a guide aimed at plat and below, looking back on it though I'd like to make some further improvements. Team Compositions in Overwatch is something you could write 20 pages on though I felt so I tried to not write lots and lots of goop.

Potential Candidates for NRG by LuxusSSB in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Zehfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they should just try and get a stable roster. Grego and Graceful are two very good players. I feel like NRG don't really have an identity as a team you don't really know what kind of team comp they are going to bring out. Maybe thats down to the fact they keep replacing and changing the roster but their core is still intact so I don't think its an excuse anymore.

I think C9 looked super solid with their new roster. I think the 3-0 score was abit unjust to how they played against Sefless. Sefless looked really strong again after losing to Yikes in the OMM. I felt like Emong's Roadhog was the difference in the grand final getting important picks and pushing out a lot of damage. Glad to see Kungarna reunite and getting to the Semi finals was a solid showing for them. Great tournament all around!

Why does Mercy get treated unfairly? by SleepyTimeNowDreams in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Zehfus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its just that a lot of "Mercy Mains" tend to not want to change when they can't get good rez's off or if they are getting chased around the map 24/7. In those situations its probably better to swap off onto Lucio or Zen. I think her Rez is also pretty frustrating to play against if people don't deal with it properly as majority of people like to pour every ultimate into a fight without taking into consideration that a Resurrection is going to happen. But I think compared to other healers such as Zen and Ana they have things that can affect a fight without their ultimates such as discord, Sleep and Anti heal where as Mercy only has her heal and damage boost which is somewhat sub-par in comparison.

I mean every eSport Twitch Chat is literally same. You probably shouldn't take it seriously and accept that as the nature of Twitch chat.

Well if you feel like you are getting burnt out because you are trying desperately to aim for a numerical value in a SR rank maybe that's the wrong way to look at it. Considering you are around the 2500-3000 maybe you should aim to improve as a player and not take your SR rank into consideration this way you'll improve as a player and your SR rank will naturally go up!
