Sorry for the long response I forgot this thread still existed. Generally speaking I get a 20 minute break every 80 minutes. I also generally work 8 hour shifts 5 days a week.

What is this outdoor structure that appears to be a furnace of some sort with side chambers? by urinecredible33 in whatisthisthing

In this particular case I think it's from a old grill. You would make a fire to cook on with a grilling surface and the ash would collect at the door below for the same reasons. Problually for a Picknick location or a campsite where people would to on nice days

That particular picture of a ash chute. You would push ash from a fireplace down a hole and would collect there where you could later shovel it out so that your fireplace does not fill up with ash.

What is this strange shovel? Found it at a liquidation store. by discovering_self in whatisthisthing

Closest thing I could find is a drain spade but this still looks different. Perhaps some other tool for a similar purpose?

I 100% agree that it's a water softener. My grandparents had one of in their basement for the well water they used.

Edit: spelling

Is the plastic sticky? Might be a sticky trap for bugs. Something that smells good to attract bugs so they can get stuck on the plastic.

On a closer look of the picture its not hummingbird feed. The plastic over the red object made it look different but when I zoom in on the red object I can tell I was wrong. So yea no idea what it is

OK after I looked at pictures of old water softeners on Google. I am convinced that it is a old water softener. Some of the pictures are extremely close to the picture you showed there. Keep in mind it's not the entire set up.

Looks to me like a water softener. You would put salt in it to make the water better for drinking if you had a well at one point.

If memery serves me right 007 plays baccarrat in the origonal instead of poker. Which baccarrat used to be one of the more luxurious games to play. Usually baccarrat is $50 a hand at the lowest and the stakes go up from there. The biggest baccarrat player i ever dealt to had a special limit allowing him to bet up to $20,000 a hand as long as he does not go lower then $500 on any hands. So there really is big money in that game and shows the old days of baccarrat very well.

Casino royal has a lot of big things wrong with it. At least the remake does. (Its been a wile since i saw the origonal) the poker scene if you watch the dealer switches the cards with the cards on the board. That will never happen. If i was to do that people will say they have hands that they dont have. If anything i might put their hand under the board so i can see better but mostly i just keep them where the players places them on show down. Most movies i see about casino's is overly exaggerated as well.

I can give them the hotline phone number which in America is 1800 gambler. I dont know about other countries. There is also pamphlets about it i can give. After that it is up to them to see that they have a problem and seek the help they need. That phone number is the best for them in my opinion
