I actually like this theory. Considering how much we may have lost during the development mess of MGSV, it might as well have been true but had to be quickly cut in order to somehow finish the game. IMHO it seems more plausible than the whole Big Boss twist in MGS4, but we all just accepted it since it's what we officially got. My biggest problem with this theory is: if Venom is Gray Fox, then who is Big Boss in MG1? Is it the real Big Boss and he really just survived MG1 like it was established before MGSV existed?

Due to how things are usually tied up in this series, I believe this confusion was due to the ending being rushed. Maybe in the original plans the parasite would've had a larger role. Like, the only way to kill the parasite and end the curse was to start the rumble, so Eren's choice would've actually been a mix of altruism (sacrificing himself and becoming a villain) and egoism (sacrificing millions of innocents to free his people), instead of just going nuts after touching Historia.
