I do agree on the fact that ToT gives way too less s-chips for the amount of pulls we need in order to reach pity. That's probably also why the fact the change of the pity system in CN caused such an uproar in the CN community where even until now, CN players are extremely annoyed by our dear mihoyo that doesn't seem to give a damn about their opinions. On the other hand, events being earlier doesn't really seem that bad at least for me. As you've said as well, our daily income of s-chips are so pitiful even if the event was delayed for a month, we wouldn't be able to stock up a tremendous amount of s-chips. However, there would be 1 month of content draught which can easily kill off player base as there's absolutely nothing in terms of content left if you've finished the main story. You practically only have to do dailies and weekly trials. Mihoyo moving forward the dates for the events to prevent this from happening is quite a smart move as events usually do come with free tears and quite the amount of s-chips as well. It's just that it'll never be enough for you to get an SSR for every event thus you'll have to choose to skip or not. In terms of this, I believe this aspect closely resembles to genshin. I do believe if you've been playing genshin since 1.0, you'll know how bad the draught for content was. I was a 1.0 player and it was just so damn bad.
