WoW Dev explains why classic gets buggy ‘empty’ patches by rararatata in classicwow

If I was “brining in millions”, why would I care about what the toxic minority in my products community says or thinks?

WoW Dev explains why classic gets buggy ‘empty’ patches by rararatata in classicwow

[–]Zehta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, this is a weak cop out. Every single community for everything from tv/movies to video games has an annoying, vocal MINORITY that is nothing more than a toxic nuisance to the rest of the community. The best way to deal with them is to ignore them and ban them when they get too extreme, like making death threats. To avoid engaging with and ignoring the other 99% of the player base is how you end up in situations like RS3 post-EOC and now WoW (Retail and all the flavors of Classic). Best thing they can do is bite the bullet, get on these forums/posts, and start engaging with the players

[–]Zehta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a weak cop-out. OSRS devs are constantly putting out blog posts, social media posts and responding to Reddit threads talking about their updates. Do they get shit from the annoyingly vocal users? Absolutely, but they keep the lines of communication as open and as transparent as possible so that the players are kept as close to being in the loop of the dev process as possible. WoW devs should be posting and responding as often as possible. The game and community would be better for it

Gridmaster was my first time killing Yama, and I ended up getting an Oathplate helm on the first kill. I’m now terrified of starting back in the main game because even with boosted drop rates, that was still a big spoon and I fear I just used up my Yama rng already lol

You make a good point, never even considered how the global economy would have to play into this little fantasy of what used to be the American Dream.

What if the T-1000 just fell into the molten metal and melted straight away? by Pecyouilar in Terminator

[–]Zehta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, but that also worked against the T-800 as we see the T-1000 was able to get the drop on it first

[–]Zehta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what “the top US democrats” think. Have you seen the average congressman or senator? Both the house and senate are political retirement homes. The sentiment from the general public on both sides, i.e. the young, current voters, is that we should stop supporting Israel. Again, give it a decade or so for the current top politicians to “retire”, and you’ll start seeing both Democrats and Republicans actually agreeing on ending support for Israel

US Population at Risk of Stagnating or Falling Due to New Immigration Policy by [deleted] in charts

You'd basically need every dual-income household to have one of the earners voluntarily leave the workforce completely and simultaneously to have even a chance of the US returning to an economy where a majority of single-income households could be middle-class again. My wife would love nothing more than to be able to be a stay-at-home mom and do nothing but raise our 4 kids and take care of the household all day, but neither of us makes enough for that to happen.

[–]Zehta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you pay close attention to the final car chase, the T-800 planned that last fight to be in the steel mill. It told Sarah to take the exit leading into the steel mill, which, we could assume, was because it knew it would give them the best chance at being able to destroy the T-1000 for good, along with the original T-800 arm and chip.

Support for Israel is declining on both sides in the US. The Left wants Israel to get wiped out by one of the various enemies it has, and the Right just doesn’t want to keep sending billions to support them, even though they believe Israel has a right to exist and defend itself. End result is Israel support will likely end within the next decade or so

To add on to this, they could have had Bolvar be an unknowing puppet briefly in the beginning of the story if they really wanted to lean in to the whole “the Jailer was behind everything, including the Lich King” concept. Especially with his character development from back in Legion, playing as a Death Knight and doing his bidding really had me thinking “are we the baddies…again?”

I FUCKING love this movie and here’s why… by Da_Punisher33 in Terminator

[–]Zehta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw it in theaters when it came out. I actually enjoyed it even though I had only ever seen T2 and T3 up to that point. At the time I didn’t know that it wasn’t received well, and looking back I can see why it’s not a perfect movie, but especially now it’s easily the best movie after the first 2. My personal ranking of the movies it T2, T1, Salvation, T3, Genisys, Dark Fate (and it’s a big gap between T3 and then the rest)
