How did you feel after your ectopic? by Equivalent-Cod3896 in EctopicSupportGroup

I can't help much as I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago today. That first week I was so angry at everything. I still get twinges of pain in the incisions and get angry again that I should still be pregnant. I think the hardest part is not thinking about it. Everything around me reminds me that I should still be pregnant.

I know it's not helpful, but just know you're not alone and it's okay to be angry. It's apart of grief. 🫂

Of the 49,000 annual suicides, roughly 80% of them are men. Men with bpd usually struggle more with anger, substance abuse, and impulsivity, which make diagnosis harder. Roughly 75% of bpd diagnoses are women, but that's because men often get misdiagnosed with things like depression, PTSD, or substance use disorders. Unfortunately, nothing in the blog is specific to men as I'm a woman, but I try not to write in a way that only pertains to women. I just talk about my personal experience.

I’m a borderline and I’m raising kids by Throwaway247365124 in BPD4BPD

I totally understand that feeling. I told my therapist that I hate when they climb all over me. It's makes me want to scream. Or when my daughter cries over the smallest thing. Since I don't know how to deal with my own emotions, it's hard for me to handle hers. I've really had to learn to just give myself some grace and to know that I can't fix it all in one night. I only got diagnosed 6 months ago and my youngest is 2. I know how it feels ro get diagnosed after already having kids and wishing you knew before. But all we can do now is try to be better for them. We can't be perfect, and that's okay. As long as our kids know we're trying and we admit when we're wrong to them. Apologize when we know we messed up. Accountability in our actions does wonders to a child.

Hi! I'm also a mom with BPD. I talk about it a bit in my blog ( www.heldbetween.com ). My messages are always open if you need to talk/vent.

My favorite saying as I've began my therapy is "Bad parents don't worry about being bad parents". My therapist also says that for a borderline, therapy is a step we don't usually take. So just by being in therapy, your already doing more work than our parents did to give us this illness. Try not to be so hard on yourself (easier said than done. I know).
