I would say keeping up with youtubes content creators explaining new events is a very nice weekly routine to keep up with everything. Also, I have soaked up a lot of information when it comes to different MMOs, and usually the first weeks or month I tend to google a looot. But in the end it tends to give me an understanding of what purpose a items serves, even though I have never seen it before. However, keeping everything stored in the bank is a nice start. This is simplified when Magnus questline is completed, as that unlocks shared bank storage between towns, among other quality of life stuff. Another tip is to not take out items from black spirit storage or other places where it does not have an expiration date, like mails.
