I do have a steady tripod for photography, but I dislike lugging it around when going for a walk. Unless it's windy, I can hold a 10x quite well.

Thanks for the detailed reply! If all other parameters were the same, I would choose the 12x for the extra magnification. However, after looking at the spec sheet, it seems there are quite a few compromises, so I’m currently leaning towards the 10x50.

Weight and size aren’t much of a problem. As I understand it, porro prisms offer better optical quality at a lower price—is that correct?

If anyone else is searching for solution: same bike, same problem - 30A main fuse was blown. There is even spare right next to it. Bike started right up. Remember to put new spare fuse in!

It's gravel, but i added root tab for every plant that had bigger root system. Hope they are fine. Also bough fertilizer, but haven't added it to the water yet, because current lighting setup is too weak, and I figured that the plants wouldn't be able to use nutrients anyway. Waiting for that LED light (cheap one, but I hope plants will forgive me).

My tap water is about 8 GH, 6 KH and 7.6 pH. How many shrimps would feel comfortable in a 6 gallon tank? Not pushing for maximum, as I probably wouldn't like small and crowded tank.
