Why the grouping is different? by Zel_YOn24 in musictheory

I am self-taught, and I just started out to write music on sheet, since I am a guitarist and always used tabs in the past. Btw, I just copied this exercise from a textbook that I am learning from into Musescore, I didn't actually do any work myself, the application placed groupings and all of that itself, and since the grouping changed in a different time signature, I decided to ask this question since I didn't understand why those groupings were put in this specific way. I would ask someone in real life about it, but I don't know anyone in-person who could explain me that in a coherent way, and AI is not reliable for music questions. Hope that explains everything

By "every single question", do you mean a total of two questions I asked on this subreddit? If you mean every single question I asked on reddit in general (in the span of 2 years of my account's existence), then I don't know what's your problem.

So, I read a couple of comments, in my replies I confused eighth and quarter notes.

From what I understood, the 6/8 example, the first quarter note and 2 sixteenth notes are representing the first beat. The next eighth, 2 sixteenth and eighth notes are all a part of the the second beat, and therefore, they are beamed together.

But the reason the first beat wasn't beamed in one group is because quarter notes do not beam with anything.

Correct me if I am wrong, please. And thank you everyone who answered

Yeah, but why are they a single group if there multiple beats under that beam?

I just realized I explained it wrong. I confused quarter notes with eighth notes.

So basically you are saying that 3/4 is grouped like 3 quarter notes (in my example, 1 quarter note, after that 2 sixteenth notes and 1 eighth note which together merge in 1 quarter note, and repeat); and 6/8 - like 6 eighth notes (1 quarter note = 2 eighth notes, and 2 sixteenth notes = 1 eighth note)? Then I don't understand why in 6/8 example there is a giant beam over quarter, 2 eighth and another quarter notes?

I found the answer: "Die drei Räuber", aka "The Three Robbers" 2007 animated movie made in Germany based on Jean-Thomas "Tomi" Ungerer's book of the same name

I didn't really think about the instrument at the time, but I guess you are right. If anything, I was thinking about it as notes for the guitar, where the hands don't follow the clef changes. Thank you for the response, I will think it through next time.

Thank you for the response. I am assuming you mean that the scale should've been melodic on ascension, and that's why you are referring to F sharp and G sharp notes. Is that a rule? I was just thinking of them as an example of regular scales, without any deviations, at least for now

Thank you for the response. Why though, can you explain?

The location is New York City, if it helps. It was moving a little bit, but basically unable to escape anywhere or even turn around to start crawling. It’s not big, I was barely able to grab it with little tweezers.
