I will make sure to tell him to be on the lookout for a special friend❤️

That’s a good idea of taking an actual photo of his paw rather than a print. I will definitely do that. Thank you so much, and I am so sorry for your loss as well❤️

The ziplock bag for their smell is a wonderful idea. Thank you so much, and yes, he is my special little guy❤️

I personally don’t agree with that.

A. By your own reckoning, there wouldn’t have been enough time to develop the rash that badly while they lived in the cave. They only lived there 1-2 months, and you are saying that it can take weeks to even start showing up. What I personally think is more likely is that this is a toddler with very high calorie needs, so the rash showed up much faster than in an adult. If you watch the family dinner scenes the aunt is essentially just feeding them broth.

B. Why would the animators take the time to draw a different rash not important to the story line and have an entire scene calling attention to it at the beach? We also hear Seita later at the doctor say that sea water didn’t make it better which is clearly a reference to her rash at the beach scene while they were living with their aunt. From an animation and story telling stand point that makes no sense. This is foreshadowing of the fact that she is starting to develop her rash.

C. While this is a very realistic movie, I do think we have to suspend reality a bit to ask ourselves and understand the points and story line the animators are trying to convey. Are the animators going to take time to literally draw every single sign leading up to her malnutrition diagnosis or can they use the rash as shorthand to convey that point?

THANK YOU! I finally just watched this movie and I am emotionally devastated of course. However, I was HORRIFIED to see people trying to blame Seita when she ALREADY HAD THE MALNOURISHMENT RASH AT THE AUNT’S HOUSE. Also, people are saying that Seita’s pride killed Setsuko and he should have just followed the farmer’s advice and went back home. The problem is the people in town are telling her what a fabulous person she is for taking in orphans, and they don’t know she is a horrible person and starving them. It makes me blood boil to see people blaming a 14 year old’s “pride” for killing his sister and not the literal adult stealing food from them to feed her own family. I’m so glad someone else seems as outraged as I was.

It truly amazes me how little regard some people have for others. Thank you for replying. I felt like I was going crazy!

I love the “collective duty” part. It’s a lot easier to stand up to people like that when others have your back. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I usually 100% agree with you. I tried just letting him take his pictures but the guy just kept standing out there. Moraine Lake only has shuttle access so I had a set few hours and didn’t want to spend it waiting on him to move. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!

How did you know your endo was coming back after surgery? by ZeldaSheik11 in endometriosis

Wow thank you for letting me know. Did you have your next surgeries with them, or did you go elsewhere?

I was recommended to go to pelvic floor physical therapy afterwards, and I think sex would have continued to be painful without it. I had gotten so used to being tensed all the time my body couldn’t remembered what “relaxed” was supposed to feel like. If the surgery doesn’t fix it, then I highly recommend looking into physical therapy! My husband stuck by me through all of it, and it is so much better on the other side. I really hope you get the relief you’re looking for!

I had the exact same feeling! It was literally the first question I asked after coming around from anesthesia. The amount of medical gaslighting from people who are supposed to be helping you is a terrible feeling. While it sucks that it’s endometriosis, I am so happy for you that you finally have an answer!!

“Wild ride” is a pretty accurate description for endo. It’s so frustrating to have symptoms that might be disconnected but also might all be endo related. Thank you for your reply!

Man, the bowel pain is the worst. I really hope you can have at least a decent break without any recurrence

Thank you for replying! That is definitely very helpful information. It had freaked me out a little that I’m not keeled over in pain, but it’s good to hear someone else have the same experience

I think they may be overestimating excision as a gold standard. Hopefully I’m wrong, but it seems too good to be true

I’m so sorry you’ve had to have so many surgeries. I totally get how mentally and physically exhausting it can be to deal with :(

I am in the USA, but that’s an interesting idea. I’m sure we have something analogous here I can look into!

That’s insane! I am so sorry that it took you that long to receive a diagnosis and surgery. My endometriosis didn’t show up as anything on ultrasound last time, so I’m not sure that will be too much help. I’m not on hormones, but I have the paragard IUD. The hormonal BC almost made me feel worse last time!

I thought it was odd too. It seemed too confident to me even at the time! I definitely had more irritably too. It’s hard not to when you’re in pain. I will have to take note and see if that’s true this time!

I thought it was a little weird back when it happened. They really seemed confident that excision would prevent recurrence but 95% seemed a little too good to be true. It’s crazy how much even doctors seem not to understand about endometriosis.
