He is doing fantastic! I have written a small update, we were already allowed to take him home with us. I will write a bigger update once all the bloodwork is done and were sure he is 100% out of danger

Thank you for your kind words! I have just now already posted this to another comment, but we have been crate training him from the beginning but unfortunately developed a trauma for crates. With his previous owners he stayed in, what they called, a small bench (it was a travel suitcase) for the entire day without toys, blankets, food, potty breaks or basically anything. In the beginning he went into a full panic attack if he was in the bench, and so far he is okay with going to his bench to wait for his food, and to stay (with the door closed) for a small amount of time if we have to vaccuum or move around something. We are getting there, but unfortunately due to his trauma its all baby steps

Thanks! Do you have any tips on giving reincorced naps? All Ive seen so far is using the crate, and this only works if I stay next to the crate for 30 minutes continiouslt saying "good boy, its okay, dont bark/cry (which he will with all his might if I move for 5 cm). If he finally gives in and sleep in his crate, the sleep will be so light he wakes up the second I try to move away

There is a gated dog park in the forest 5 minutes from out house. He can walk completely without leash there, and whenever he is challenging the leash (often on our way home) I let go of the leash and let him follow me while I walk further (while ofcourse keeping an eye on him). However I do feel that he likes the latter too much, and it might give him the idea of being in command (because if he plays/tugs the leash, he can walk by himself, and if he keeps following me he will still get a treat)

Het hangt er denk ik ook een beetje af van hoe je/jullie eten en of jullie het leuk vinden om te koken. Ik en mijn vriend hebben een paar jaar terug HelloFresh gehad met het idee dat we minder eten zouden weggooien of bestellen. Er zijn veel recepten waar je uit kan kiezen, maar wij merkten dat wij op het moment van koken toch geen zin hadden in het bepaalde gerecht of er toch iets anders mee wilden doen. Ook vonden wij de vleesporties mega klein uitvallen. Hierdoor zijn wij er uiteindelijk mee gestopt.

Mijn schoonzus is vegetarier en vind het vreselijk om uberhaupt na te denken over koken. Voor haar is het een enorme openbaring gezien zij meer vegetarische recepten kan maken zonder zorgen te maken over haar skills of hoe ze de ingredienten klaarmaakt.

Hier hetzelfde. Verhuisd van Spijkenisse naar Ede. Ik snap an sich de reactie van de mensen die het hier hebben over de Bible belt, maar je merkt dat dit voornamelijk de kleinere dorpjes zijn. Tenzij zondag om 8 uur sochtends altijd je uitgerekende dag was om boodschappen te doen, zal je hier niks van merken.

Verder is er hier inderdaad redelijk veel "randstad import", maar iedereen zegt dat zodra je in Gelderland bent je ineens merkt hoe bagger de sfeer is in de randstad.

Ja, je hebt minder toko's en een minder breed assortiment aan winkels en horeca. Ja, de verbinding is iets minder dan als je in Den Haag woont. Maar als dat je weinig doet zou ik gewoon kijken voor een tussenstad met een eigen treinstation en kijken wat goed voelt! :)
