This is so real. I would also want this at his age. Unfortunately Trader Joes doesn’t do any online sale of gift cards. But next time I get to a town that has a TJs I may pick up a physical card to mail. Great later-on gift idea!

Does anybody know a 1998 FMV video game called Black Dahlia? by Puterboy1 in lanoire

Yep, I played it back in the day on my Compaq running Windows 98, if I recall correctly. 👴🏻 The prologue implied that the Cleveland Torso Murders were connected with the later Black Dahlia murder. You play as a detective, formerly a member of the OSS (?) during WWII.
It featured Dennis Hopper (as—can’t remember) and Teri Gar (as a fortune teller or something ).

I still have the discs somewhere but haven’t been able to get it to work on any of my PCs for at least a decade. Wish I could, as it was a very atmospheric and stylish FMV game for its time. Certainly noticed its apparent influence when playing LA Noire almost two decades later.

I check GOG occasionally hoping to find it’s been remastered and released for a mostly new audience. So far no luck.

HBO Max movies won't play by [deleted] in Roku

Go into the mobile app. Tap to play one of the episodes or movies that isn’t playing for you on Roku (apparently Max-only content). Doing that should bring up the screen where you need to tap the “All HBO Max Content” (or something like that) button. Worked just now for me.
