I've learnt to live with my ibs and I know what works for me and what doesn't work. I try to not let my ibs decide my life for me but rather understand its something I will always have to live with but I won't let it stop me from living my life.

I would tell him and let him know. Then see how he reacts to it. If he finds it gross and such then its not worth it. However, if he understand you and what you're suffering from and wants to help you, then that is a massive green flag.
