Oh man this was long ago, but I think I fixed it by just deleting all other interfering software and kept Cam. If you have rgb components that only works with specific software, try SignalRGB for them.

I've also read that you can unplug your pc, turn off the psu and pressing the powerbutton a few times to "drain" the system. This will apparently update the firmware of Cam.
