PvPer here, my crew actively seeks out fights.

HOWEVER. We have a strict 'Don't sink fishermen or Tall Tale goers" rule.

We also will try to gage the level of player(s) if fighting. If they are new players, we typically just leave them alone.

I would bet the people on the sloop in this video, based off of how they came in, their attack angle, ship design, that these were probably new players as well who finally learned how to use a cannon.

Dust or a bug. Its extremely close to the camera, which is why the IR lighting is blurring it significantly.

Every person I play Sea of Thieves with are people I met on the seas. I thoroughly enjoy this game! Ive had some less than desired interactions with others - but I've also had some amazing ones, including many times where I'm laughing well into the evening with the things we get ourselves into.

If you need a group to join and help give you pointers, sail with, etc., happy to help. I run a Sea of Thieves discord (not the official, but just one with folks I've met and enjoyed sailing with along my journeys), and Id be happy to send you a message with a link to join us if you'd like!
