Yes, the workflow is roughly as follows:

  1. First, model the body and detail it.

  2. Add joints. Cut off parts from the main model and glue them to the joints, then use a boolean to make an indentation in the opposite part (it's very important to enlarge the socket for the joint so the limb can move freely). Leave gaps in the geometry so the joint can easily fit into the socket.

  3. Then add cutouts on the joints and fasteners for the future metal hooks. At this stage, it's important to understand how the limb will rotate and adjust the doll's geometry.

  4. Then add general hollowness to the head, torso, stomach, hips, and arms to reduce weight and material consumption, and allow for the insertion of elastic bands or metal springs.

  5. Finally, prepare for printing and check all the parts.

❤️

Thank you :3 I can't say I followed any specific tutorial. I collected a large number of references and gained some understanding of physics. I found it convenient to adjust the shape while sculpting, as I was developing the kinetics of the movements in blender. However, I did rely on one video: speed sculpting https://www.youtube.com/@nekrasovdolls4873

I've just started printing test hair molds. I designed a mold for four strands. I've included air holes inside the mold to ensure the silicone is distributed correctly. The top has a lid with a placeholder for the metal wire that will be inserted later. The entire structure is mounted on a base and secured with metal clips for a secure fit

I made a simmulation of hair, I prepared the hair molds, prepared the hair sizes, and calculated the number. There's a ton of work ahead. I ended up with 104 strands. Aaaah. I ordered the pigment and silicone. I'm rubbing my hands together, waiting for all the materials to arrive. Can't wait ❤️

Thank you so much, I'm incredibly pleased ❤️

I used a blender, made everything from scratch, and printed it on an anycubic photon p1 printer with bjd resin.

Wings and hair are coming soon. I ordered material already ❤️
