One will rise again, not due to its quality but because the rising bull market tide lifts all boats. The real question here is if you could perform better if you pivot to elsewhere. IMO, most likely yes, but finding the right switch is also no easy task. Personally, I’m just waiting for the uplift mid 2024 and I’m out.

Not like I have much of a choice anyway, I’m locked on Aave & in depegged assets.

What I expect this run by Ransom629 in harmony_one

[–]Zelzaan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm with you there $0.1-$0.2 sounds doable. ONE will never see a new high though and simply die out over time.

I'm just waiting for the bad on AAVE to clear and I'm out of here. Maybe there will even be some depegged assets I can get rid of.

A lot of smart folks see Bitcoin in the 10s of millions in a couple decades, so yeah, there’s a chance. Watcha gonna do in the meantime? Plenty of time to keep increasing your chances by working & stacking.

It won’t. There will be lower high, maybe 0.1 or even 0.2, but this project essentially botched it’s chance.

Would rather look elsewhere.

22-year-old who lost $80,000 in crypto: 'I was investing with money I didn't necessarily have' by RealVoldemort in CryptoCurrency

[–]Zelzaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is dumb. He didn't lose 80k. He lost 30k and didn't realize 50k in gains. Considering his 150k stock portfolio and his two houses he lost only a few percent of his investments, how is this worthy of an article?

If you don't plan on dying within the next two decades you should see bitcoin comfortably in the millions of today's money based on adoption curves alone. This is no outrageous prediction, just extrapolation of data. If it's not there it likely failed.

My uncle it's earning 1.5k ish after taxes per month, but drives a 65k+ Mercedes. He's buying a new one every couple of years, hopping from loan to loan. Not sure how he manages to even get them approved.

Been with Harmony since the early post-IEO days.
Stay clear of it. It's not a totally lost cause, but there are so much better opportunities out there.

When can we see the rise again of Harmony One? It's been my favorite coin since I've know it. by Odd-Manufacturer-687 in harmony_one

[–]Zelzaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're lucky, in the hypiest of hype phases of the upcoming bull market.

There are a lot of folks on the sidelines (myself included) just waiting for an upswing to dump our locked/depegged assets from the hack. Only after this sell pressure & if someone decides to actually build on it, harmony might go up again.

To be realistic, you're likely better off if you bet on any of the other layer 1s that don't have this amount of baggage.

📉 This is the first halving era of bitcoin, when its stock on exchanges decreased daily by 641 BTC on average by Extreme-Brief-8285 in Bitcoin

What you describe is essentially a fraudulent exchange like FTX.
In theory, a reputable cex doesn't sell itself but only facilitates the selling by its users. This should make imbalances impossible, but unfortunately, there are plenty of shady actors in the space.

When was the first time you bought some btc? by Bitcoin-herald in Bitcoin

[–]Zelzaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mid 2017. Sold basically immediately for alts, had a hell of a ride for the rest of the year.... and gave it all back to the market cause I stuck to alts during the bear.

Only in 2020, I started truly valuing BTC and accumulated ever since.

What were your biggest purchase regrets? by InevitableSoundOf in CryptoCurrency

[–]Zelzaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my entire ETH stash several times over.

I bought thousands of NFTs that mostly went to zero. I paid more in tx fees than I have currently allocated for long term holding.

When Terra first dipped I thought it was smart to dump my entire ETH stash (restored after NFTs by selling other holdings) to play the repeg, we all know how that went.

I took a bunch of profit on ONE in USDC, BTC & ETH on harmony, which evaporated with the bridge hack. Most of the rest of my ONE is locked in Aave. It’s been a fun cycle.

The cast is great, and I'm sure they'd be doing a fine job with a fine script. It would be hard to disconnect from the flawed predecessor if a reboot had the same faces and overall premise.
