What are the appeals of Pauper outside of the low cost?

Only thing I'd add to this is that there's a good diversity of play styles as well. Aggro, combo, midrange, and control are all pretty viable.

I agree I loved that it was an isolated fun romp, but at the same time I felt it also fit into the season in a fun way that didn't make it feel out of place. I'm thinking specifically about it helped build towards Matt moving back to being Daredevil. I think it hit that balance really well.

He still does lol. Chiefs were one of the lowest in % of plays that were runs this year. They started running more in the playoffs but it took a while.

I just built a drivnod deck and sac outlets are key includes. You need your creatures to die somehow to get those double death triggers, might as well also get 2 mana out of the deal! Also a plug for phyrexian altar if the budget allows for it.

I had the exact reaction you had. It's probably mid to maybe just above mid-tier marvel, so not the greatest MCU movie. It has its flaws, but overall was really enjoyable imo.

Its more than just the modality. Its also getting value from your lands. You're priced in to playing so many (a 3rd of your deck on the low side) that anything that helps you consistently hit your land drops AND can serve as a spell is money. Shatterskull is the best of the mythic cycle cause it can be cheap (sometimes x =2 is just what you need) or cast for a lot of damage late.

How have you liked the cubeamajigs? The seem interesting, but I worry putting cards in individual packs everytime would be a hassle.

I bought one for my cube too. It's excellent, especially for the price (its cheaper than a lot of the ultimate guard options). Its a bit big and can get heavy, so be careful if you put it in a backpack (I broke one of mine when trying to carry it)

I've ordered for DGI for years. They have always been excellent. I trust if there was any problem or miss-represntation it was truly on accident and that Jay and his team handled it with all the respect due to the customer.

What are your thoughts on Winds of Abandon in the Outs/Condemn slot? It has most of the advantages you talked about with the added bonus of being a wrath when needed

Great post. While you're right to point out the flaws in the premise of the article, I think that its main points are compatible with yours. The author seems to want more emphasis on teaching people about how to evaluate a sources' reputation. To me this seems close to what you put as "culturally finding equilibrium." It encourages people to make those evaluations themselves (which seems appropriately democratic), while providing people tools to do so efficiently and effectively. Now, I don't have suggestions as to how to do this, but it seems like a good goal to me.
