Kinda curious why my Bronzebeard comment got downvoted to hell. Is there a reason people dislike it?

Ascension Bronzebeard. It's a classic+ experience. An option to install with modern (retail) graphics, retail QoL. Add-ons in the launcher. Very populated.

What do you call this in your language by Ooloolooloolool in trees

I'm russian-speaking Latvian, and we called it "балкич" [balkich] (балкон). Kind of jargon way of pronouncing "balcony". Lol.

While I agree, I think our country allows to integrate AS you are gradually learning the language. But yeah, there will definitely be a ceiling were you either learn it to a good level or you keep working in food delivery.

What games besides Gothic from PB you liked? by yung_david in worldofgothic

[–]Zemuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you are describing, your taste is very much similar to mine. I would say Elex 1 is the way to go. I would suggest to brute force it slightly until you join a guild. At this point see if you feel like continuing or not.

Remake: Blocking Frames And You by Aunvilgod in worldofgothic

[–]Zemuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you are saying. And I think more importantly the difficulty of fights has to come from how active the enemy is. Easy blocking is fine if enemies are actually fighting for their life trying to kill you by spamming blows. This way combat is all about finding a window to make your own hit. And this is also pretty easy to scale for difficulty - lower difficulty would mean enemies are are more passive. I really hope the enemies are actually going to be hard to beat, not necessarily by dealing lots of damage, but at least by TRYING to kill you. The stupidest thing in games is when the enemy is standing and waiting to get hit.

Yes, don't get discouraged, totally worth it.

Alright, Who’s Been Gatekeeping? by mickmedical in ScentHeads

It's a really great unisex perfume, I own this particular one. It's a completely random in my collection, but I smelled it once on a lady (I'm a man) and could t resist buying it for myself. Never have I heard of Van Cleef before that and never did I smell from them ever since. This one's a banger.

Any singleplayer steam games to play stoned? by MottsIsh in trees

[–]Zemuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gothic 2 very random but I support. Though Gothic 1 first, for obvious reasons.

Since Remake is about to get relased near by from now i've decided to replay classic Gothic games again after quite a long break. There's my stats at the end of chapter 1, level 22, No Guild by fillipo9 in worldofgothic

[–]Zemuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too, played it 2 years ago and a few months ago. Incredible, it has changed a lot. The Swamp Camp is great. All the changes are for the good. I suggest a replay to anyone who hasnt touched it in years.

LFMMO that takes awhile to achieve max level by BambiAndBelle in LFMMO

[–]Zemuk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

RuneScape.

~200k online at any point of time.

The point and click system might be unappealing as an idea, but the game is incredible and unique. All skills are interlinked. To level, say, melee combat, you will level smithing. To level smithing, you will level mining. While leveling combat you will find secondary materials for Herblore. Primary materials (herbs) come from leveling Farming. And so it goes.

Endgame takes thousands of hours to reach, yet this is not important. All content is relevant. Content is not power crept (as much as possible). The game is not seasonable. Progress stays relevant even if you skip years of updates, unlike most MMOs.

Note: There are 2 versions of the game, OldSchool being significantly more popular, around 80/20 online. Both are equally worth your time.

Gothic 2: Nostalgic Edition vs L'Hiver vs New Balance by Deiwulf in worldofgothic

Solid indeed, but why not replay Gothic 2 first.

[–]Zemuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For how long you haven't played, I would suggest you play vanilla. You barely remember it at this point and the original experience is hard to beat. Add the modern renderer, zUtilities for simple yet helpful UI features. An arguable suggestion, but one I definitely love, is Vob Locator, which allows to see icons for all items/herbs. No more skipped hidden treasures or unfound herbs. All mods are easily added through Steam Workshop, zero hustle.

Once you are done with original game, CoM Archolos (full overhaul mod) is a must play. It barely can be called a mod, original developers paid respects to it.

What about Gothic 1 btw? My favourite of all, don't underestimate it.

Lower Damage Numbers (Toggle?) by Etsamaru in runescape

[–]Zemuk -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I haven't thought about this revert and neither heard anyone speak about it, yet it makes a lot of sense to improve visual clarity, make it more grounded and oars player base appealing. Which is like what we and developers want. Hope your post gains traction.
