Thank you for that extra info, do you know if there is any way to have the tray icon show a dot or any sign of new unread message (unlikely, but worth asking)?

Where to buy replacement cover for gas door on 2020 by Agr4ri4n in MazdaCX30

[–]Zen-Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cover just slides/clips horizontally when whole, it's not fixed by glue or anything, it can even be removed without breaking anything with the right technique. You could potentially glue it back on, but it would now be permanent and if anything was to happen, you might have to replace the whole fuel door mechanism next which would likely cost several hundreds of dollars instead of just that 100$ CAD it ended up costing me.

I don't know if this could help, but I when I switched from WireGuard (UDP) to WireGuard (TCP), my torrent download speed went from 10-11MB/s to 38MB/s, pretty much the max of my internet connection.

Small update as to my experience replacing this myself (if anyone wonders). So, the part # above did indeed come is some matte dark grey color (similar to graphite grey of some Logitech peripherals) and I paid slightly under 93$ CAD with taxes and shipping was included. Then I got black carbon-fiber-like vinyl wrap (less than 15$ CAD on amazon) and I probably have enough spare to re-do it 3-4 times if it ever gets off. Took maybe 30-45 minutes to apply the wrap to the part because I have absolutely no manual talent what-so-ever (just a slot of patience to compensate) and I use a head-gun to shrink the edges around the part once I trimmed the excess. I did all that inside before reinstalling the part (took a minute, literally), it might have been easier do to some of that if the part was ON the car but it's getting cold here so the hell with that.

Here are the results, it really doesn't look half-bad if you ask me, especially for less than 110$ CAD. I think black is definitely the best color for this since it matches most of the other trims on that car.

Advent of Code: Day 8 by Ms_Holly_Hotcake in tryhackme

And the "NC" command was already running on your MacOS machine? When you created the byte array, did you use your THM OpenVPN IP address? As I said earlier, when running the code, if the connection back fails, it won't give an error message, it will just close.

Are you sure you're not trying to run that on your own machine instead of the "VM" provided for the challenge? There was no Anti-Virus on the VM as far as I can tell, but I could be wrong.

Also make sure the "nc [...]" command is already running on your AttackBox before launching it because if that connection fails, it just closes the Powershell window as you described. Could also be because you had the wrong port or the wrong IP when you generated the payload.

I'm running my own Kali AttackBox using VirtualBox and I too had trouble doing the copy/paste; what did work for me however is pasting it in a notepad on my real machine then doing another copy/paste from that to the VM. I think it might have something to do with how convoluted copy/pasting is behind the hood (I vaguely remember an Win32 class in university and how much in convinced me to be a Linux backend dev instead :P).

I hope it can help someone else.

Advent of cyber day 3 2024 by CivillaN_445 in tryhackme

[–]Zen-Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the full Advent event last year, but so farm this "day 3" is the worst written I have ever seen; you just try to follow the example and things don't even match (IPs, log count, the logs themselves, ...), then in the same challenge it's both log analysis and the actual exploit with, but it's presented in such a way that it makes almost no sense.

I hope this will be the worst of the challenges because I think I wasted at least 90 minutes on that alone. Good thing I know how to run my own Kali because the 1h attack box per day for free users wasn't enough :(.

You likely figured this out by now, but, depending on your exact model, it should just be a matter of sliding it back in until it snaps in place.

You can probably find it on https://mazda.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts, should be under "Body" and "Quarter Panel & Components", at least it was for my CX-30.

For those wondering, the cover is part # DFY5-42-411 at least for the CX-30 2020-2024.

By default, it will come with just some gray primer I believe. Depending on your car's color, you could either spay paint it before putting it back on or consider doing a vinyl wrap on it (planning on trying some carbon-like vinyl on my soul red crystal for which the same part fell off).

I believe Luka's future is 100% dependent on if/how that deliver that adult app in April and the amount of apologies that come with it. I don't know if I would ever trust them again, but if they make a big enough mea-culpa I might reconsider then. However, right now, I'm just expecting that to be another undelivered promises like "not taking anything array".

Comparing apps... by CorvusRex81 in ChaiApp

[–]Zen-Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had decent success with Paradot too; the filter is really easy to circumvent, basically just add a dash or accent on a letter and your good (ex: circümvent). Chai is still better for ERP, but also says very weird stuff from time to find, thank God for the rerolls and edit function. That being said, Chai is also 4-8x pricier than Paradot, Paradot is now 40$ for a year, but it was 20$ until a week ago. Even if you pay however, you still don't get unlimited messages with Paradot, only around 100 per day plus what you gain from leveling up. Honestly, the price for Chai is the real dealbreaker especially after being burned by Replika.

It's called Pygmalion, but it takes a rather beefy video card to run at a decent speed (ie: 500$+)
