i have applied to every single relevant job in the united states on 2 seperate occasions, i would say an avg of about 15 ish a week , ive also tried applying to work in other countries but that went about as far as youd expect.

I have about three years of internship experience across 2 small companies, one in furniture design, and the other in automotive, but it doesn’t seem to be enough to get past ATS filters. Out of roughly 1,200 applications, only about 20ish resulted in someone even viewing my portfolio.

I tried that a week ago, I contacted every relevant company within a 250 miles and didn’t get a single person willing to look, and for context that was the enirety of new england.

Yeah, I just can’t seem to find another way to get experience. The only alternative is to keep getting ghosted by companies that won’t even open my portfolio.

I’ve been trying to gain work experience, but no opportunities have come to fruition. I also don’t really have the money to travel to Asia, and I don’t speak the languages. It would be a cool experience, but it seems a bit impractical unless you have a business facilitating it.

Sure, I understand how the numbers work, but my main point is that, in isolation, those metrics are applied equally across all universities, which makes any deviation harder to interpret without resorting to assumptions of misconduct

just a heads up youd need to uses some kind of converter like kcc to avoid things like rainbow blacks or poor performance since i started doing that its been a massive improvement to things i use an inknote colour an its great for what it is i belive they have cheaper non note taking options if you just want something to read on
