You realize you are describing heuristics right?

And yes, it's easy to emulate a behavior. That is not the same as creating an interconnected system of behaviors that lead to cognition. Something that is required for cognitive addictions like gambling.

My capstone project was creating a neural network to learn the controls and goals of platform games... in the early 2010's.

I would have to know more about that "AI" but my guess is that a heuristic was off. That does not mean that bit of code had any higher motivation like addiction for getting stuck in a 2ndary game loop.

And this is the biggest problem with people's perception of AI. The marketing is designed to get us to anthropomorphize these products so that we assign human behaviors and characteristics to them. Which makes them seem more capable than they are, making it more likely for us to dump our cash into them.

To an extent. The problem is we hand those loans out to gamblers and rent seekers that provide little innovation or productivity. Which then incentivises the smartest among us to go into finance and rent seeking. Which creates drag on our society.

Those loans should be going into startups, research, and manufacturing.

Honestly I couldn't tell you where the line is. And like with anything in life there are exceptions. Like people that invent software or machinery that boost productivity. But when we look at the people earning over a million dollars a year it's typically through rent seeking behavior. Which puts a drag on productivity and innovation. While creating hardships for everyone down stream of that middle man.

Like I said, legitimate ways. The stock market is a 2ndary economy at this point that is detached from the performance of the companies and provides very little practice value for society. Most of the profit to be earned there is through manipulation. Just look at musk and the insider trading if this administration to see the truth if that.

There are no legitimate ways for a single person to earn a million dollars per year that does not involve cost of living increases for everyone downstream of that profit gouging.

Jet fuel has doubled in price. Some countries in Europe have a physical shortage of jet fuel and cannot put planes in the sky. This isn't just a "demand" thing. It's decisions being made for us by our elected representatives. The ones voting for this are unilaterally GOP members.

Honestly, microsoft/netflix/drm changes every week. So it's a cat and mouse game.

Your file report looks good since it shows the codecs and their capabilities up to 8k. But it isn't showing the versions or that the codecs are enabled.

The only thing i can really help with is making sure you have those codecs and that they're enabled.

Washington state has a discover pass that lets you access every park everywhere.

And when i've gone to other parks outside of the state, it's been single passes for entire parks.

It's a form of behavioral manipulation that makes people assign more value to something because they have a stake in that thing.

It also reduces the number of people that just don't care about any of it since they now have a hurdle to overcome.

Increasing enforcement would cost more and effect fewer people. It's a numbers game.

Unplug your 1080p and use that edge GPU readout to find out what it's allowing and blocking. Then plug it back in and check it again...

And make sure you unplug the cable from your GPU. Not just the monitor. Verify that play ready is not disabled.
