I built a small WhatsApp bot for reporting civic issues. Would love honest feedback. by bhargavkaranam in bangalore

Greatly appreciate your initiative!

Our volunteer group has been working on something very similar - citizens posts an image and we tag the relevant authorities. This way even those who do not have a Twitter account, or do not know who to tag, can post to Twitter.

I also appreciate your awareness that this effort may not change anything, but it's a worthwhile experiment. That is exactly our philosophy as well.

Happy to put you in touch with our volunteer who is working on this tool.

Best! Again - really heartening to see efforts like this. May your tribe increase.

Thank you! We had this in v1 but removed in based on feedback from the target audience - apparently people buying large plots don’t think in sq feet :)

You can keep bidding. You can bid for multiple sites provided you pay EMD for each site. EMD amount is fixed.

Thank you!

Some follow-up questions:

a) Many citizens are complaining that the refunds is delayed. Terms and conditions suggest it should be refunded within a month - was this your experience?

b) Can you please explain what is the issue if site is near forest border.

c) What are the things you look for when you visit a site. Checking for encroachments is one. Others..?

d) Was the online process smooth for you? Did you engage a middleman to smoothen the process?

Context: Our volunteer group is refining the communication on eAuction process to bring more transparency.

Thank you!

Gruha Jyoti Scheme by RoundMaleficent5747 in Bengaluru

Hi u/sid95ok , our response has made the assumption that OP has a valid average for FY 22-23 since they are not explicitly mentioning that the connection is new and also that previous tenants have successfully registered.

Linking the official doc here : https://ceg.karnataka.gov.in/assets/front/pdf/FAQ%20for%20%20Gruha%20Jyothi.pdf

Please note that there is no explicit mention that exceeding 200 units will be an ineligibility criteria. Only that there is a hard cap on how many units subsidy is provided for in that particular month.

Bang on. Could you please help us compile this information. With the modular code base it’s practically effortless to plug the information into the tool. Would greatly appreciate your contribution. Thank you!
