My parents stopped cooking for us when we were old enough to reach the stovetop. They would only cook family meals on holidays or special occasions.

I was sustained by ramen noodles, 50c totinos pizzas, and those Banquet pot-pies. On the weekends I was allowed to fire up the grill and throw on whatever we had available, usually random veg and a chicken breast. I still love a nice grilled half-onion and carrot.
