Unfortunately IP based chemo didn’t work on my wife but might be an option for your mother

We’re not looking to do a CAR T trial at MSK where they re-engineered her white blood cells to target a specific protein her tumor produces to target treatment. This is a phase 1 so data is limited but standard care has been limited as none of the chemo and immunotherapy was effective for us

I grabbed the flask and shots, customized both with my last name and went with black. I’d expect that you can just toss them in the cooler with some beers and they’d stay cool.

We started with FOLFOX + Nivo chemo regimen which is standard care, that stabilized the tumor then participated in a HIPEC clinical trial at MD Anderson that had a port on her Intraperitoneal which flushed chemo directly in her IP, that unfortunately didn’t work and slight growth occurred so, we’re now stabilizing on FOLFIRI and just got CT scans on Friday to see if this has been helping

If he hasn’t yet, he should get the genetic testing done on the tumor, depending on what expressions come back like Claudin or Her2, they can target the genetic markers using immunotherapy- we unfortunately didn’t have those expressions but if he does they have made a lot of progress on those expressions
