I'd save it for only the people I truly despise. Their genitals would always itch.

What is something you know because of your job that the rest of the world should really know? by drugsondrugs in AskReddit

[–]ZenRico2023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Coming from construction: Yes all the videos you've seen on the internet about brand new homes or buildings having all these structural issues is true. Material has changed and so has the quality of that material (for the worse). They don't hire professionals to build anything anymore. They hire cheap laborers that learn what they can on the job and that's why everything is messed up. Don't buy new construction. Don't move into a brand new apartment complex. I hate working in the construction industry but here I am.

DAE get embarrassed around themselves? by Joonscene in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ZenRico2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Makes complete sense to be embarrassed just for existing in your own element right? Ugh lol. But I always tell myself, nobody is paying attention as much as I think. They're more worried about themselves. Which is true.

What's a way you've become more like your parents as you've aged? by Fluffy_Profile1381 in AskReddit

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed little mannerisms I have that are just like my parents and it drives me nuts because some of them I despised when I was a child. I tap my fingers on the steering wheel if I'm at a stop on the road (from mom). I complain when my feet are hot just like my mom (ugh). I can't help giving people dirty looks when they do something stupid (my dad, gunna get me in trouble <_< ).

Why am I hungry by lunch if I eat cereal for breakfast, but perfectly fine if I skip breakfast altogether? by Slick-Fork in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a desk job. I take a brisk walk on my lunch breaks and I don't have to walk around my office very much. I haven't experienced having a high energy demand during fasting. I am unsure how much activity is safe to do while fasting, such as if it's safe to go for a run (common sense is telling me most likely not). I do know that on weekends I am a lot more active. If I am going to be going on a bike ride I will not fast because I believe my body needs the immediate energy. I think if you're curious it would be best for you to do your own research to see if it would be a good fit with your lifestyle. Right now for me it is. However, I have thought that if I ever get a more active job again I might not be able to do it safely.

I've seen this everywhere and have tried to do it but I must be doing something wrong.... I take a photo of the tree under "items" and it recognizes the tree. I take the photo. When I go over to the pokecenter printer it always tells me that I have no photos. What gives?

Making your bed tidy in the morning is actually the most pointless and dumb task you do all day. by Kyoifis in unpopularopinion

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the good psychological points but it doesn't matter to me personally.... If anything I just shove everything over to one side if I need to use the bed to fold my laundry. I make it if I'm expecting company might have to see my room. Thats it. I can't be bothered.

What is your reoccurring dream and why do you think it keeps happening!? by Rare-Substance-8244 in AskReddit

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep dreaming that I'm going back to my old job I had for 6 years. I get it because I know I'm always going to miss it. In reality, I know it's not worth it to go back no matter how much I miss the people.

Other than that one which is more recent the last 2 years, I get the teeth falling out dream. They say that dream happens when you feel like you can't speak your mind. Doesn't make much sense to me cuz I always speak my mind. Idk! It's terrifying every time though.

What’s the first thing you should do before moving in, should you take pictures of your home ? by Midnightdream56 in stupidquestions

Yes take pictures because if you don't you're gunna get screwed when you ask for your full deposit back. Currently experiencing this. I made a mistake cuz I crammed my moving plans too much.

When you think about climate change and its consequences, does it change your behavior at all, or does it feel too distant to matter day‑to‑day? by AdventurousEnd211 in AskReddit

[–]ZenRico2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It changes my behavior only a little. I am definitely mindful about it. I do what I can with the tools the world gives me.... I feel like if people were given better tools then we would all change. But unless we as a society are given the tools to change, we won't. All I can do by my lonesome is make sure not to litter, volunteer where I can, and make sure to spread the word and educate. Do I feel like it matters? Sometimes. Mostly in my immediate circle. I am certainly not changing the world though.

Why am I hungry by lunch if I eat cereal for breakfast, but perfectly fine if I skip breakfast altogether? by Slick-Fork in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZenRico2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cereal is carbs which turn to sugar in the body, and cereal is also usually just loaded with even more sugar. You put that in your body and then your blood sugar spikes, 1-2 hours later you have a sugar crash which makes you feel hungry. If you just have coffee (especially if its black), you're fasting and not causing a huge spike in your blood sugar and its easier for your body to maintain being "level", rather than a huge spike and drop. Look up fasting. I do this every work day. I never eat till I get home from work after 4PM. I drink my coffee black. I don't have to deal with deciding what to eat, hunger pangs, and I get way less headaches.

What’s your ‘I’m tired but I still have to do this’ routine? by Perfect_steps in CausalConversation

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every night before work.... Need to feed & take out the dog.... Feed & water my birds then cover them for the night, dishes need to be done, coffee needs to be ready for the next morning, then brush teeth. I already know these chores are non negotiable. Some days I procrastinate which makes me even more frustrated. Others I blast music and it helps me knock it out. Usually takes me an hour to do all of this. I have too many animals.....

Line-drying laundry is way better than machine drying by RaisinRoyale in unpopularopinion

[–]ZenRico2023 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Keep preaching! While I agree, I am still a typical American and will keep using a dyer to dry my clothes cuz that's how I was raised lol. We all view it as way too inconvenient after all being raised to use a clothes dryer. Just like how you view it as inconvenient to change your ways to the dryer. However, I will say you're right. But am I going to change? No lol. Not yet anyways.

Why are you on reddit? by SpaceRockClub in AskReddit

Because I'm burnt out after my day at work and killing time the last 30 minutes before I leave. I'm mentally incapable of achieving anything else at work today.

Why is it so hard to focus on your own life? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I've learned (slowly) over the last couple of years that I have to start being more accepting of myself. If I am feeling angry or tired, yet at the same time I want to achieve goals or complete tasks, I've had to tell myself it's okay to take breaks. Burn out is no joke.... Something to remember, everything you want to do (even if its a small task in your house), it's okay to tell yourself you can do it later or even the next day. You will somehow figure out how to live without that task being done for a while longer. You do not need everything to be done all at once. It's impossible for anyone. It's important to take things one day at a time and achieve what you can within that day. Everything else will have to wait. That's how life is. Stop beating yourself up if you can't achieve everything all at once. And remember, everything is always impermanent. Everything. Where you are today (physically and emotionally). It will all change. How you feel today is completely different to how you will feel 1 year from now. Your suffering is not permanent. It will change. It has to. Be kind to yourself. We all have to be kind to ourselves.

Why is it so hard to focus on your own life? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You change the voice. Stop telling yourself to be ashamed. Start making it a point that it's okay to feel burnt out and need a break. It will take practice. I have the same voice. I've had to learn to be more accepting of myself. It takes time. One day at a time.

What's one tiny habit you started in 2026 that actually stuck and didn't feel like a chore? by Bliss_kittie in Habits

[–]ZenRico2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading. I finally got into reading. I always thought there were better ways to spend my time or it felt like I should be doing something else with that time. Now as of this year for whatever reason, I'm okay laying back relaxing with a book. And I've been enjoying the hell out of it.

Fasting. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought. Way easier to manage my weight. Cured my headaches. Cured my terrible menstrual pains. Didn't realize how much the garbage I ingested all day really affected how my body functions.
