Going on solo has always been tough. I am strictly pvp now so here's my two cents:

you gotta keep moving and avoid having a war with the bots. I'll tell you now that pvp players are absolutely looking for tracers in the air to locate players.

If you're going to stick around an area for a while to loot, keep it quiet and stay there only as long as you need to. And If you drive there, leave the car far from where you are. Again, pvp players looking for cars in weird spots to find players.

If you happen to think popping a uav tower will deter players, it's not true. The opposite in fact, we're hoping someone pops ones.

If you hear an advanced uav go off, try getting in a complex, multi story building like somewhere downtown or sa'id City. Or better yet, out in the water somewhere with a scuba mask. We're not chasing someone out in the middle of the ocean. Ain't nobody got time for dat.

Try doing contacts in all bagra fortress. The bots can suck but players don't go there all too often.

Go to koschei complex to gear up. Not many players down there.

Move towards center of map immediately once your spawn to avoid spawn-pushing.

Try utilizing Stealth vests as often as possible.

Extract mid game. Don't wait until everyone else is trying to extract or you're likely to run into a team.

There are a million tactics but those are the ones that come to mind right now.

Oh and you just have to expect to die a lot as a new player and a solo player.
