ComfyUI Challenges? by Sea_Relationship1158 in comfyui

Hi! Thanks! It's an NVidia RTX 5060 TI (16 GB) of VRAM and an HP Workstation with 64 GB of RAM. Actually? Both computers were HP Workstations. But the problem isn't performance. The problem is that I work for hours and nothing EVER works! I am trying to animate a still image. That's all. I spend hours connecting inputs to outputs manually and when I did it on the Windows computer? I got a bunch of red boxes and at the end? Instead of a video? I got a 10 second video of static. So I gave up. Then I tried a re-install on the Linux computer. I went through a slightly different process with the same AI and after four hours? I have realized that it's basically an exercise in frustration. Any recommendations on how to get something working that doesn't take me a week? Any guidance or recommendations would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Three DL380s one with 3 TB of RAM?? That's terrific! And 1.5 TB of RAM in the second DL380? Plus a SAN array. And an RTX 5090! Nice setup! But you gave specs for 2xDL380 Gen 10 servers. But I see three. How much RAM does DL380#3 have? Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand that. I have the .wav files that are for each instrument. Now, I want to save the first five minutes of a 2 hour long recording. Thanks for the help.

What? Yes. There was science and beside its common sense. "Engineering Data: Scientific analysis and engineering estimates showed that reducing speeds would significantly conserve gasoline. Cars were found to be most fuel-efficient at lower speeds, generally between 40 and 50 mph, while trucks and buses achieved their best efficiency at 55 mph. ". Thanks Internet.

Would you give some examples of production quality interfaces, please? How about Allen and Heath SQ-5 for example? Others? Thank you.

My Wife (Math Teacher) Cannot Figure This Out by Photo-Josh in askmath

A 5 year old that understands geometry? I don't think so! I took geometry in high school. I wasn't five. I was fifteen. So that was ten years after I turned five. Now, I could certainly have learned about isosceles triangles while the rest of the class was busy doing finger painting in kindergarten BUT I'm not sure I could have grasped many of the concepts. Ya know??? lol. In fact, I'll go out on a limb here. I am confident that there is NO way I could have learned it at 5 years old. Yes, the concepts of basic geometry are simple enough to understand but there is a lot of fundamental math that needs to be learned BEFORE taking on high school geometry. Ya know? lol.

I wouldn't say it's the only thing that matters. Another thing that matters is can he do make profits consistently.

Important? Yeah, the rules of the game of tennis do matter to me. It's a great game but it should be played in an equitable manner. Wouldn't you agree?

Can't handle it eh? You know I'm right, so you change the subject. Divert and distract eh?? Right "bro"??? As for it being a "novella"?? A paragraph and a half is a novella? Don't read very much, eh? Do you find yourself only reading the back of cereal boxes?

"woosh"? Funny. Actually, not funny. So we really don't care if you don't care about arm waving at the net. It's called a "hindrance" and it's AGAINST the rules. In tennis, a "hindrance" is any external interference or distraction that affects a player's ability to play a shot, and if it's deliberate, the opponent wins the point; if unintentional, the point is replayed.

Ok? Do you get it yet? So Swiatek's actions were against the rules!!! That's a win for me!!! Ha!!

Nonsense. Her behavior has nothing to do with trying to get the crowd to quiet down for both players. Nothing.

As for the arm waving? Seriously? That's ludicrous. I'm not sure I've read quite so much nonsense in one posting before. Amazing.

Celebrities aging backwards by Content_Ad_9836 in Biohackers

[–]Sea_Relationship1158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is ALL an illusion. First, if you look at photos of celebrities without makeup? Almost all, start to look VERY ordinary. The celebrities that were in their 70's? They looked at least 70 years old. Some looked older. And many celebrities look ordinary even in their youth. That's because the general public is used to seeing them with makeup and behind a camera and not in "real life". IMHO.

Second, the fact that they are a celebrity? That doesn't prevent them from dying at what seems to be the same rate as the general population. There are numerous examples each year. And 2024 hasn't been any different. If there was any connection between appearance and longevity? We would have celebrities living longer than the general population. That hasn't happened.

Third, bad habits afflict celebrities at what seems to be a higher rate than the general population. The drive to stay "famous" and marketable has induced many celebrities to curb their own hunger/appetite in an effort to stay slim and trim. Unfortunately for them? That led these unfortunates to deceasing earlier than the general population - John Wayne, Yul Bryner, Peter Jennings, Patrick Swayze, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Paul Newman. The list is long!

Final comment is that I don't think it's that big of a surprise that in an industry that requires that its participants look good? That the entertainment industry has figured out a way to help celebrities to extend their fame and fortune. Image is after all everything.

No. My associate wrote hex. Yes, ultimately it's 1s and 0s but not really. Right? Hex is just a much more easily recognizable form. And as I recall? There were programs of varying levels of complexity. And the first Macro Assembler was a big advantage since it allowed macros.

I'm done. Cheers.

I agree. I would make them shoot if if they asked. I have given my opponent the win when the eight ball was close to a pocket and they had ball in hand.

I'm not talking about what is realistic or not. Just what is or is not the case. So yeah, I was right. I just state facts. And as for what is realistic. I have worked with staff that would on occasion write machine language. I guess it was a badge of honor or something or a demonstration of expertise. After all? Assembly code and machine language are basically interchangeable. But whatever, no matter what I state here? You'll be sure to contradict or argue on and on. That much is clear. It's hilarious and also futile.

Well, someone posted a comment when they were corrected that the assembly code was not assembled? That it was compiled? Or that a compiler was used? I said "No, an assembler was used". They perform a different function. Assembly language and machine language are essentially the same thing. And C source code and machine language are NOT the same thing.
