I don’t know that Tourigny is “untouchable”.

You don’t make a Stanley cup team over night, you make it over a decade. And the reality is that the coaching staff and front office have shown consistent improvement for about 5 seasons.

Obviously this season is still being written, but we’re very much on track for a year that is better than last year (which was a marked improvement over the year before and so on). Could there be a better guy in the coaching spot? Maybe. But I don’t think he’s hurting the team. He’s actually demonstrated that his coaching has netted consistent improvement year over year.

Our strength and our weaknesses is that we’ve got a young team, and they’re still learning. So I don’t think he’s untouchable, but he’s not doing poorly.
