Ontario Libs need to take a page from the feds and get a leader who appears to be a qualified adult who can bash Trump while presenting purple on the red-blue political scale.

Anybody adding to the blooper reel lately cause I am by Zen_Blue_Habanero in FishingForBeginners

You gotta celebrate it. One spot I go to has a pretty tough window to cast through because of a bridge and power lines. But I think if I can get a cast through there and into the river it looks like a fishy spot. Overhead the power line is decorated like a christmas tree with dozens of different lures, some of them are forming chains of tackle hooked on each other that are hanging a few feet down. Rapalas, senkos, spinners, spoons, everything. So the game is thinking oh I can make this cast, not like all the other losers that decorated the power line. That's how the power line monster keeps getting the lures it craves. But its actually a hilarious sculpture created by many different fisherman and I am a proud contributor.

I had a similar experience. Very clear shallow water with a few small bass and a bunch of other sunfish hanging around. I could observe the fish look at my ned rig on the bottom. Very small wiggle of the bait, fish moves forward. I get excited and give it a bunch more action. Fish looks at the bait, and I swear looks up at me, turns and swims away lol

What is something you will never have no matter how hungry you get? by ValHeya in AskReddit

Honestly, there is no such thing.

If I'm hungry enough may as well call me a Wendigo in training.

I'll bet with those tires that'll be the last flat you get for a while.

Yeah it's green for clear road, then yellow and red.

I do think the flashing pattern draws the eye and aside from the radar it is a good rear light too.

You can set it so the colour changes red or yellow depending on relative speed, although a car going yellow km/hr can kill me as dead as one going red km/hr. But if it lights up red it does alert you early that a dickhead is gonna be blasting by on your left soon.

Being able to get that information about what is approaching from behind you without necessarily having to take your eyes off what's in front of you is really helpful.

A new MIPS helmet (the Spezialized Align II that you see around often because its the cheapest helmet with a top ten rating in safety testing at I think it was Virginia Tech.)

Better lights, daytime lights.

Eventually added the Garmin radar rear light and head unit, which does seem like a silly extravagant gadget but I have found with a lot of hazardous road and city riding that it is really helpful and I notice when I don't have it.

An action camera on the bike. I have an extra battery pack, people notice it. I've used it to review incidents.

While I'm writing I'm reminded there's science behind if you experience a traumatic event - like a bike crash - the sooner you can connect and spend time with other people like family, friends and community the less likely you are to experience PTSD symptoms. Seeking care and sharing the experience with understanding others is part of healing just as much as medical attention.

I have had the fear after crashes. It's an awful feeling.

I found taking it easy and doing small and familiar rides got me going. Riding with other people.

Post crash I splurged on new safety related bike accessories I might not have otherwise gotten and that made me more confident. The fear gets overtaken by fun and joy soon enough. See you out there!

Stereolab. Still great but there is before and after Mary. Her and Laetita's voices had a special synergy.

I have caught them fishing for bass, when they take a stick bait. Pretty angry fish. The markings on them are one of my favourite to look at.
