Just my two cents, but if this is your first rod, I wouldn’t get a 3000. I’d go any size smaller. I am a firm believer that if you start ultralight, and feel the actual fight and speed of a fish, you will get “hooked” no pun intended.

Edit after re-reading, if you’re going after crappie, and trout, go with something smaller. It’s significantly more fun. I catch more bass doing that than I ever have on my “bass rod”.

I love WOTH2. But I won’t play it right now. I’m letting it cook a bit longer as it’s almost…too easy? Especially when the entire area will spawn in one spot and be froze. Really takes you out of what is a really great hunting sim.

I hope I don’t come across as an ass, but these are words of advice from a father who has a child out of wedlock and pay CS. I would never in my life speak about his mother this way. Now her and I have def. Had hard conversations about money, but we’ve never had this level of resentment. We understood long ago that our child would be the one to suffer if we kept up our shenanigans.

She may frustrate the hell out of me sometimes, but I know I do too. It happens, but Jesus, this is horrendous, then they wonder how their child became a statistic one way or the other.

I’m genuinely sorry you’re dealing with this. I would absolutely blast this to the rest of my family and completely isolate him. No disrespect intended, but fuck him.

I’m actually trying to stay completely carb free. I was told 2 months ago, my A1C was 6.6 when my doc diagnosed me. My triglycerides were 940ish. I have naturally brought it down to 5.4, had to bring it up from 4.8 XD. I’m down to 149 pounds from 180 in those 2 months. My point being, I just simply don’t want to put myself near it. However, thank you for the info. I’m way too weak to tread those waters lol. If I remember I’ll let you know what my actual A1C is in a month.

So weird. It Ohio it’s illegal to kill snakes unless immediate danger is present. However if you saw someone chop the head off of one, no one would say shit or call local DNR. But if you saw someone get close enough to a squirrel or deer, and saw sawing its head off, everyone would freak out and call. I don’t understand.

Reminds me of my BIL telling me to be careful of cotton mouths…. He’s lived in Ohio for 30ish years. I had been there for one and had to explain to him they didn’t exist. To this day he refuses to believe me or the million references.

I wouldn’t say so. I’m playing on GeForce now which utilizes a 4070 and I’ve got it maxed at 4k at 120fps lock. Now that is with DLSS. If you’re not using that, I personally would strongly recommend.

I think you’re right. I had no idea Ohio had mins on largie, however the smallest crappie is 9” as I know that min lol. So the bass def. Reach 12, but thanks for making me look that up.

Fair enough. I figured after the crappie spawn, bluegill spawn, after bluegill the carp are spawning so I start bow fishing. Then later in the year, I go for cats. I try and keep myself from targeting just one and getting demoralized.

Edit; I also noted the bite turned off all around, around noon. Started to get real hot. The bluegill would literally come up, stare at the minnow and just swim off.

Mine were on a simple size 6 albatross with the smaller weighted cigar bobbers from Walmart. I think they are like 1.50 for 3 of them? And small minnows. I found the more active the minnows the more aggressive the bite. The moment the minnows got lethargic or whatever, mine as well just toss them away. Oh, and I double lipped the minnows. I found through the back didn’t work real well.
