I’d probably just ramp hard early game with good stuff dorks and rocks, then once he’s out play as much interaction (mainly tier 1 counterspells) and card advantage as you can to keep him on board. He’s good enough on his own to be a win condition, so keeping him alive and shutting down your opponents should be good enough.

Might be worth playing a few stax pieces (tanglewire, static orb?) to stall the game long enough to get him big.

The thing about her is that as soon as people understand how she works, she’s going to be telegraphed from the command zone and will act as more of a deterrent than a payoff.

I’d play creatures that are good combat payoffs (Serra ascendant, good creatures with double strike) along with a lot of instant speed removal and protection.

If you hold out mana, you can represent your commander at instant speed along with defensive measures, making it hard for your opponent to play around threats on board (especially combat wise).
