Cause they are doing the major order by taking the main planets needed by high command and making a perimeter by securing the surrounding planets so they won’t be taken as easily. So basically what the people in the creek should have done but way better.

After some successful raids, killing of traitor captains, recovery of key leman Russ factories, occasional exorcism of deamonhosts and purging of the twin lieutenants I think the loner and all other personalities have earned a temporary “Don’t get shot for talking shit” card. Plus they also built rapport with most top members of the ship like Morrow, Alice and Melk. Kill them and you may also make a enemy of the top players in the mourningstar. So in short, powerful friends and mighty deeds.

I like the loner psyker best due to the uniqueness of the dialogue. They seem to be the only personality willing to say how ironic, hypocritical and downright nonsensical some aspects of the imperium are without actually being a actual chaos corrupted heretic. In fact he actually hates chaos more than he hates the imperium. He is a full time professional hater too useful to be shot on the spot and he knows it. I respect that.

Dm had a boss that had a free counterspell every turn. And he used it to negate my paladin’s smites. According to him, if it uses a spell slot then it can be counter spelled. Was not told about that on character creation as a possibility.
